Broken Veil Teaser Trailer Released

Sinistrum Games recently released a brand new teaser trailer for their upcoming 3D puzzle-platformer coming to Kickstarter later this year.

The horror title, which draws inspiration from hits like Little Nightmares, is set in post-soviet Russia, which is a pretty dangerous place. The hero is a young boy, which makes his quest even more perilous. He also suffers from Prosopagnosia, which is face blindness, making it difficult for him to identify the shadowy figures around him. Sinistrum Games is incorporating the uncertainty of his condition to add some terror to the ever-evolving gameplay experience. Players can also look forward to help from cats in the game when it comes to solving puzzles, traversing unreachable spaces, and even providing some calming when the atmosphere becomes too tense. The latter, in particular, will be helpful as players run, hide and solve problems in a small provincial Russian town in the middle of nowhere. Sinistrum Games have drawn upon its familiarity with the era to ensure that the apartment blocks, abandoned construction sites, and dilapidated orphanages are stylized and authentic.

In addition to the teaser trailer, which can be viewed below, the Steam store page for Broken Veil is also up to allow players to wishlist the game. Those interested in backing the Kickstarter campaign when it begins can sign up for updates on the official website or give Sinistrum Games a follow on Twitter. The Kickstarter is expected to launch in late Q2 ahead of the Steam release later this year. We will be keeping a close eye on Broken Veil ourselves, as it certainly looks like it has the potential to be great.
