Bubble Bobble 4 Friends Launching On Steam This Summer

Taito Corporation has some good news for PC owners who watched with envy as Bubble Bobble 4 Friends launched on Nintendo Switch and Playstation 4 last year. The game will also be released on Steam this Summer as Bubble Bobble 4 Friends: The Baron’s Workshop. The Steam release will feature all the original and downloadable content from the PS4 and Switch releases and a new PC-exclusive Workshop mode.

While playing through the game, players will be able to unlock dozens of block types, enemies, and gimmicks. These can then be used to create new stages in the Workshop mode. These stages can be shared via Steam Workshop, where players can also download endless original creations from around the world.

Bubble Bobble 4 Friends is the latest edition in the classic series that Taito first launched in 1986. It is the first new sequel in 24 years and features 200 stages of platform puzzle action. Players join Bub and Bob, along with their friends Pep and Pab, on a quest to defeat their old enemies Bonner and Baron Von Blubba.

Bubble Bobble 4 Friends: The Baron’s Workshop features 1-4 player couch co-op and even includes a faithful port of the classic Bubble Bobble for 1-2 players. This port offers a truly authentic arcade experience, down to the scanlines and screen ratio options. Thanks to the global online leaderboards, players will also be able to challenge their friend’s best scores across every game mode.

Check out the official announce trailer for the game below and prepare for the launch on Steam this summer at the cost of $39.99 / £30.99 / €39.99. For more information, give Taito a follow on Twitter or visit the official website.
