Picaresque Studio Unveils First Gameplay Trailer For Nantucket

Ever wonder what happened after the events of Herman Melville’s Moby Dick? Well, thanks to Picaresque Studio and their upcoming game, Nantucket, all will be revealed. Starring the narrator and sole survivor of the original novel, Ismael, players will get the chance to explore the seven seas in this seafaring strategy title.

The game will also task players with the management of both their ship and crew, while hunting whales and dealing with whatever unique events are thrust at them. In addition, there are quests to complete that will unveil some of the secrets behind Moby Dick. According to the developers, players will be able to increase the stats and develop the skills of their captain in a role playing game fashion, but will also need to develop their ship by unlocking new technologies. Pirates will also make an appearance, requiring players to defend the ship and protect the crew.

Nantucket made its Steam Greenlight debut a short while ago and is set for release on PC later in 2015. This should give players more than enough time to familiarize themselves with the original novel in preparation for this game!

Check out the gameplay trailer below for a glimpse of what Nantucket will have to offer, then head over to the Steam Greenlight page and give it a vote if you like what you see. Don’t forget to check out the official website either.
