SKATER XL Launches Free Skate Multiplayer Beta

SKATER XL Launches Free Skate Multiplayer Beta

Skateboarding has always been a social activity, so it’s great to see that SKATER XL by Easy Day Studios is turning their attention towards multiplayer. The developer recently revealed that the next step in the evolution of their game is the launch of a multiplayer free skate beta. It is available right now as an open beta on Steam and allows up to ten players to jump into a free skate session together. Here they can hang out together, explore different lines together or create group party line replays.

Although the multiplayer functionality is currently only available for the PC version of the game it will also be coming to Xbox and Playstation soon. The open beta is aimed at stress testing the online system and servers while gathering player feedback. This feedback will then be used to fine-tune the experience before the mode officially launches on all platforms.

Some of the features being introduced with the multiplayer free skate mode are the option to skate with up to ten people online and the ability to save group party lines with the same replay editor as in single-player. Watch the trailer for the new mode below and check out the information on how to join the Beta HERE.
