Shadow Man: Remastered Release Date Revealed

Shadow Man: Remastered Release Date Revealed

It’s hard to believe that it’s already been more than two decades since Shadow Man crossed our screens, but the original game was released way back in 1999. Thanks to Nightdive Studios the game was re-released in 2013 on GOG and later Steam, but now the remastered version is finally on the horizon. Nightdrive Studios announced today that Shadow Man: Remastered will officially be released on April 15, 2021, on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Game Store.

For those unfamiliar with the game, it was originally released for the PC, Playstation, Nintendo 64, and Dreamcast. We managed to complete the Playstation version, but it definitely felt like the system could barely keep up with the ambitions of the game. The game was based on the Shadow Man comic book series and starred Michael LeRoi, a voodoo warrior wearing the Mask of Shadows. Michael had his hands full with the forces of darkness as they tried to infiltrate the land of the living. His quest to stop a group of serial killers took Michael from the swamps of Louisiana to the back alleys of New York City with a few stops in the dark and terrifying land of Deadside along the way.

Thanks to Shadow Man: Remastered a new generation of fans will be able to enjoy the game while fans will be able to experience the adventure with some awesome new features. This includes 4K widescreen support as well as anti-aliasing and other post-processing effects to improve the visuals. The developers are also promising dynamic shadow mapping and per-pixel lighting along with High Dynamic Range rendering. Best of all, Shadow Man: Remastered will include never-before-seen content that was cut from the original game. There’s no need for console players to feel left out either as Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Playstation 4 versions of the game will also be released soon. The Shadowman comic series is also getting a reboot, so fans can pick up the first issue from retail shops and online retailers on April 28, 2021.
