Fury Unleashed

Fury Unleashed doesn’t do anything radically different for a platform shooter, but the rogue-lite elements and combo-heavy gameplay make it a blast to play. It’s also very addictive and offers a lot more replay value than typical 2D platform shooters. We would have liked to see more variety in the environments, but the impressive number of bosses and enemies make up for this. Overall, this is a great game that shouldn’t be missed if you are a fan of the genre.

Gameplay: Fast-paced and very addictive.

Graphics: The comic book art style looks great.

Sound: The music and soundtrack are fantastic

Alex Kidd Set To Make A Comeback Thanks To Merge Games

Before Sonic The Hedgehog arrived on the scene and stole his thunder Alex Kidd was a pretty big deal during the eighties. At one point the Alex Kidd in Miracle World was built into the Master System console and numerous sequels followed. Unfortunately, things were less glamorous for Alex Kidd after the release of Sonic, and apart from a few cameo appearances in other games, we haven’t seen much of him. Ask any fantasy fan and they will immediately tell you that Dwarves, in addition to being brave and fearless, prefer making their homes underground. HammerHelm, a game by SuperSixStudios that is currently on Steam Early Access, turns this notion on its head by casting you in the role of a Dwarf that believes his kind could live above ground. Unfortunately, the other Dwarves didn’t take kindly to such rebellious thoughts and promptly banished you. The game opens with your Dwarf finally finding some fertile lands to start a new life in the open air

Muse Dash Set To Celebrate 2nd Anniversary In Style

Muse Dash was one of our favorite games of 2019 on PC, but it has been entertaining mobile users even before that. In fact, June 12th, 2020, will mark the 2nd anniversary of this great rhythm-based game. We are clearly not the only ones who love the game either as it has sold over 1.7 million across all platforms. Part of the reason for this success is the continued support that the game has received in the form of brand new song packs. This trend is set to continue as PeroPeroGames and X.D. Lots of Summer Swag In Killing Floor 2: Perilous Plunder Update

GameLark Pays Tribute To EarthBound With Tribute Album

It’s hard to believe that so much time has already passed since the release of EarthBound, but the game is already celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The game hit North American shores in 1995 as the second title in the “Mother” series and was available for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. To mark the occasion the GameLark music label has released a fun and upbeat tribute to the entire series titled Fuzzy Pickles. The album features nine tracks based on all the fan favorites from the Mother series

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition for Windows 10

The original Gears of War gets a nice visual update with this edition of the game, but everything else remains mostly intact. This means that the game still suffers from the shortcomings of the original and can even feel a bit dated by today’s standards. However, it’s still a great shooter and a good place to jump in if you have never tried the series before.

Gameplay: A little clunky at times, but overall quite fun.

Graphics: The updated visuals are definitely a big step up from the original.

Sound: Sounds just like the original, which is a good thing
