Assassin’s Creed 2

Assassin’s Creed 2

Assassin’s Creed 2 is an epic game that will keep you busy for ages as you unlock all its secrets. Everything about the original has been polished and improved so be sure to give this one a try.

Gameplay: A stellar improvement over the original.

Graphics: Very detailed.

Sound: Really brings the game to life

Mirror’s Edge™

Mirror’s Edge™

Mirror’s Edge is a bit on the short side, but it definitely features some unique gameplay elements. It will probably not appeal to everyone and trying to play it like a first-person shooter will get you killed very quickly, but there is a lot of potential here. Hopefully, future installments can refine and expand on the concept.

Gameplay: Definitely a unique take on the genre.
Graphics: A fresh look for the genre.
Sound: Top notch

Soulcalibur

Soulcalibur

It is really great to play SoulCalibur again, and the game is as fun as ever, but it also lacks some of the original Dreamcast content. The loss of mission mode, lack of online multiplayer and black bars on either side of the screen brings the score down a bit, but the gameplay is intact. SoulCalibur was one of the best weapon-based brawlers of the Dreamcast era and is still a nice addition to anyone’s library.

Gameplay: Still a great game even with the cut content.
Graphics: Holds up surprisingly apart from no support for widescreens.
Sound: The audio is still as chaotic as the original

The Beast Inside (Illusion Ray Studio)

The Beast Inside (Illusion Ray Studio)

From Resident Evil 2 to Pathologic 2, 2019 has been no stranger to horror games so far. We’ve seen plenty of good ones, a few that haven’t lived up to expectations and even a couple that took us by surprise. Then, PlayWay S.A. contacted us with a short beta version of the upcoming Illusion Ray Studio title, The Beast Inside. It is only one of the thirteen chapters from the full game, but what we experienced was already more than enough to convince us that The Beast Inside is going to be a stellar title

WRC 8 FIA World Rally Championship

WRC 8 FIA World Rally Championship

WRC 8 offers a bunch of new improvements and features compared to its predecessors, which makes it one of the best rally simulators currently available. It’s not the easiest of games, but there are enough aspects that can be customized to ensure players of all skill levels can have fun. You will still have to put in the time and effort to really master your vehicle and the demanding courses, but it is more than worth it. The new career mode also has enough depth to keep players hooked, as you make your way up the ranks. If you are looking for an off-road racing game with plenty of depth and mountains of content, then WRC 8 FIA World Rally Championship is it.

Gameplay: Hard to master, but very rewarding.

Graphics: Apart from some rough edges, WRC 8 is a great looking game.

Sound: Everything sounds like it should

Adam – Lost Memories (Adam Dubi)

Adam – Lost Memories (Adam Dubi)

As terrifying as the horror genre can be the sad reality is that the ghouls, ghost and other fantasy creatures that typically inhabit it pales in comparison to the horror that some people have to endure in real-life. It is even more heartbreaking when you realize that it is often the most vulnerable who are preyed on the most. Adam: Lost Memories is an early access title that is being created by just one person, Adam Dubi. Adam began working on the game after his psychologist suggested that he uses some form of art to work through the trauma that he experienced during his childhood. For some people, this would mean painting or poetry, but instead, Adam went ahead and created an extremely ambitious horror game

Children of Morta

Children of Morta

From the beautiful hand-painted pixel art to the moving family-oriented storyline, Children of Morta is a game unlike any other. The game itself is extremely addictive and following the adventures of the Bergson family kept us glued to our screens. If you are looking for an action RPG that is not just a lot of fun to play, but also has a lot of heart, then Children of Morta should be at the top of your list.

Gameplay: Challenging, addictive and just plain fun to play.

Graphics: Beautiful hand pained pixel art with smooth animations.

Sound: The music, sound effects, and narrator all sound superb

Overdungeon 超载地牢

Overdungeon 超载地牢

Overdungeon is a nice combination of rogue-like elements, card games, and the tower defense genre. With three playable characters and more than 100 cards as well as powerful relics, it is a game that easily sucks you in with its addictive gameplay. The translation quality is a little rough and the game could definitely benefit from a bit more polish, but for sheer, chaotic fun it is hard to beat.

Gameplay: The random elements can result in some really over the top battles.

Graphics: Decent, but not spectacular.

Sound: Not bad

Coin Days Is Coming To Technosphere Reload

Coin Days Is Coming To Technosphere Reload

A while back we checked out Technosphere Reload, a gorgeous looking, but tough as nails futuristic 3D-roller platformer by Adaptive Game. It is a game that relishes in challenging players, but playing the game this September promises to be a little bit more rewarding than usual. This is thanks to the announcement by Adaptive Game for an event that they have dubbed “Coin Days.” The premise behind this event is very simple. Adaptive Game took one bitcoin, divided it into 58 separate parts and then hid it in Technosphere Reload
