Deep Rock Galactic

Deep Rock Galactic

Deep Rock Galactic is a very satisfying co-op first-person shooter starring dwarves fighting space spiders and other foes. The game is still fun to play solo, but it really shines when you team up with three other players using different classes. The procedurally generated cave systems, different biomes, and unique mission types make this a game that can keep you busy for a long time. It might seem a little daunting at first, but there are enough tutorials to ease you into the swing of things, and you’ll be mining and shooting with the best of them in no time.

Gameplay: A great combination of exploration, mining, and all-out shooting.

Graphics: The low-poly visuals look good, and some of the biomes are downright beautiful.

Sound: The dwarves are all very vocal, and the synth soundtrack is excellent

Serious Sam 3: BFE

Serious Sam 3: BFE

Serious Sam 3: BFE is not as colorful or over the top as its predecessor, but it is still a great title for players in search of frantic action. The game slows down a little too much in some parts, but few other games can come close in terms of the sheer mayhem when all hell breaks out. It is definitely a game that is best enjoyed with some friends as there are plenty of co-op modes and options to keep everyone happy.

Gameplay: The campaign starts a little slow, but overall the game still has plenty of action.

Graphics: It is not as colorful as Serious Sam 2 and definitely shows its age, but some of the set pieces and enemies remain impressive.

Sound: The soundtrack is excellent, and the iconic enemy sounds are all present

RUINER

RUINER

RUINER is a cyberpunk-themed isometric shooter with fast, brutal combat. The game is unforgiving, but players can unlock several abilities to help even the odds. Most of the game is spent locked into combat arenas, but the inclusion of a hub world offers a nice break from the action. Although it is not a very long game, it is very stylish, fun, and challenging.

Gameplay: Skill is required to get far, but it is worth the effort.

Graphics: The visuals are stylish and detailed, but the levels lack variety.

Sound: The soundtrack is incredible and matches the action perfectly

Radio Viscera

Radio Viscera

Radio Viscera is a top-down shooter where you wield an air cannon instead of a traditional gun. However, this doesn’t make your character any less lethal as the levels are littered with traps in which you can knock your foes. The result is a bloody and over-the-top game with wacky physics and plenty of action. It is the work of a solo developer, so there are a few rough edges here and there, but overall the game is a lot of fun.

Gameplay: Dodge enemies while shooting them into traps with your air cannon.

Graphics: The game looks decent but not spectacular.

Sound: The sound effects and music are all great
