Check Out The Different Editions & Pre-Order Bonus Content For Upcoming WRC 8

As with most new releases these days, WRC 8 will be released with different editions and pre-order bonus content. Bigben and the development studio Kylotonn has recently revealed exactly what players can expect when WRC 8, the official video game of the FIA World Rally Championship, is released. WRC 8 will be released on PC, as well as Playstation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The game can already be pre-ordered and there are three different editions to choose from.

Before we delve into the contents of the different editions, let’s take a look at what the pre-order bonus content will be. Pre-orders for any edition of the game will reward players with the RWD Legends pack, which features a couple of legendary cars from bygone eras. These include the Lancia 037, which fans will know is the last rear-wheel drive car to win the World Rally Championship, as well as the Porsche 911 GT3 RS RGT. In addition, Nintendo Switch owners can pre-order the basic edition or physical collector edition for the system to snag a WRC 8-themed sleeve for their console. However, this offer is valid only at selected retailers, so make sure to check before pre-ordering.

WRC 8 will be available as a basic edition as well as digital deluxe edition and physical collector edition. The basic edition will obviously only include the base game, so let’s take a look at the content of the two other editions.

Digital Deluxe Edition

Along with the base game, the digital deluxe edition of WRC 8 will grant players early access to the game 48 hours before the official release. In addition, players will also benefit from crew members to add to their staff in career mode. Finally, it will also contain the “Legendary Cars” pack, which is a must for fans of WRC cars from the 70s, 80s and 90s. The Legendary Cars pack features the Alpine A110, Ford Escort RS, and Lancia Delta HF Integrale.

Physical Collector Edition

The Collector edition is the most expensive option, but comes with some nice extras. Along with the base game, players will also receive a three-month subscription to the WRC+ All Live TV service. With more than 25 hours of live coverage of each rally along with expert analysis and behind-the-scenes reporting, it is a great bonus for rally enthusiasts. The Collector edition will also have experienced crew members to add to your staff in Career mode as well as the Legendary Cars pack mentioned above. Last, but not the least, this version of the game has an exclusive WRC-themed, collector edition, metal box.

WRC 8 promises to be the most complete and authentic official WRC simulation yet and will feature new off-road physics for all surfaces. The game will also have a completely redesigned Career mode, extreme and dynamic weather conditions, 52 teams, 14 countries, 100 special stages, weekly challenges and an eSports mode. Check out the trailer below and clear the 5th of September 2019 on your calender as this is the date when the game launches on all platforms.
