Escape From Naraka Releasing On PC In Q3 2021

Headup has announced a Q3 2021 release date on PC for Escape from Naraka by the Indonesian developer team Xelo Games. It is a fast-paced first-person survival platformer that will also feature a soundtrack by Yohan Jager, known for his work on Pumpkin Jack. The game combines Balinese legends and mythologies and is strongly influenced by titles such as SEUM: Speedrunners from Hell, DOOM, and Dark Deception.

Escape from Naraka throws players into a nightmarish, labyrinthine temple dominated by an evil demon called Rangda the Leyak Queen. Players must platform their way through the diversely themed platforming sections in a quest to save a loved one. Each area is not only home to new deadly trials and traps but also terrifying enemies. Succesful will hinge on the player’s ability to master the art of dodging and perfect placed jumping. However, players will also need to collect essential abilities as they find the fastest way through the courses.

Every level and every whole run in Escape from Naraka will be recorded, giving players the opportunity to compete in the global Steam leaderboards. The game will feature lots of secrets to uncover for those who are keen enough to find them. The developers used 3D scan technology when building the unique world of Escape from Naraka, so most of the environmental assets actually exist in real life.
