Very pretty looking game but is playing the prequels a must to understand what is happening or does it stand up on its own?

According to MangaGamer it’s definitely not a requirement to play the previous games to enjoy it. There are returning characters and plot threads from both of the previous games, but all the necessary information is given to players within Kara no Shojo 2.

Any chance of this coming to steam and if so will existing owners get a key or have to buy it again?

Imagine how cool it would be if they bundled all the games together and release it on Steam as a “collection”

We asked MangaGamer and they said; “At the present there are no plans for a Steam release of Kara no Shojo 2. The game contains both explicit adult content and graphic depictions of murder victims, so it’s meant for mature audiences.”
