Three Iconic Titles Getting The Strictly Limited Games Treatment

As much as we appreciate all the space we are saving thanks to digital-only releases we still have a soft spot for collectible physical editions. Thankfully, this is a sentiment that is shared by Strictly Limited Games, a publisher that specializes in releasing a curated selection of digital download-only games in exclusive collectible physical editions. It seems that they have been quite busy lately as no less than three iconic titles are going up for pre-order soon.

First up is A Magical High School Girl, which is a delightful crafting, rogue-like RPG. This isometric turn-based game also features elements of action adventuring. The protagonist is a very ordinary high school girl who wanders into a world of magic, monsters, and mysterious witches. It is up to players to help her survive in this harsh, but alluring world. One of the best features of A Magical High School Girl is that all attacks are conducted with magic, which players can freely name. The game then automatically generates the elemental properties and effects based on what was typed in. While it is a rogue-like, the HP system, experience system, levels, UI, and everything else has also been reimagined to fit the theme of the game. It all blends together in a game that is challenging and enjoyable enough for casual players, but also layered with enough gaming elements to keep veteran and experienced players hooked.

The Collector’s Edition is limited to 1,300 copies worldwide, priced at 49,99€. The Limited Edition is limited to 1,700 copies worldwide, priced at 29,99€.

Next up is a release that is sure to put a smile on the face of all die-hard Mega Drive/Genesis fans. Strictly Limited Games is releasing Darius Extra Version for the system in cartridge format. This cartridge features a brand new version of the original arcade game made for the classic Sega console. Along with new exclusive modes, it will also feature improved FM music and sound effects along with balanced gameplay fixes to provide fans with the finest Darius experience ever made for retro consoles.

The editions for Mega Drive and the Genesis are limited to 2,000 copies each worldwide, priced at 49,99€.

Last up is one of our personal favorites in the form of Bubble Bobble 4 Friends: The Baron is Back! Strictly Limited Games is gracing PS4 owners with a collector’s edition of the 200+ level platform experience starring the adorable Bub and Bob. Thanks to the couch co-op 4 player mode it’s a great party and family game. The bigger, more comprehensive presentation of the collector’s edition makes it something that fans will not want to miss.

The Collector’s Edition is limited to 1,700 copies, priced at 89,99€. The Limited Edition is limited to 2,000 copies, priced at 39,99€.
