With games such as Blocks That Matter and Tetrobot And Co. already under their belt, indie developer Swing Swing Submarine recently announced that they are teaming up with Focus Home Interactive for their latest title. The game, which is called Seasons After Fall, is set for release on PC and consoles 2016.

Sporting some beautiful 2D visuals, Seasons After Fall will follow the adventures of a wild fox with the magical ability to manipulate seasons. Players will have to put this power to good use in order to explore the fantasy universe of the game. The environments will change dynamically as you alter the seasons, for example, an impassable waterfall can be frozen by summoning Winter, allowing you to cross while Spring might make cause flowers to bloom allowing access to new zones. Although Seasons After Fall is not the first game to offer this kind of interaction with its gameworld, we are eager to see how well it is implemented.

The developers promise forests, rivers, caves and other environments to explore, all accompanied by a soundtrack that was recorded by a live string quartet. The intended soundtrack and sumptuous visuals lead us to believe that the game will offer an immersive and relaxing experience. We don’t have any screenshots yet, but check out the beautiful artwork below as well as the teaser trailer, which showcase the magical powers of the fox protagonist. It might still be a while off, but Seasons After Fall certainly looks like a title worth keeping an eye on.

Narcissu 10th Anniversary Anthology Project By Sekai Project

Visual novel fans should already be very familiar with the Narcissu titles, a series that wasn’t afraid to explore themes about terminal illness and the relationship between the living and dying. If not, Narcissu 1st & 2nd is available as a free download from Steam and comes highly recommended. However, Sekai Project have decided to team up with Stage-nana, the original creators, and do a full remake of the Narcissu anthology. Fans have been waiting years for the rest of the Narcissu series to be translated and, if the Kickstarter campaign is successful, this will finally happen.

This reminds me so much of Lion King on Sega. The movement of the fox and the jumping!
