Judge Dredd Leads a Packed October Update for Pinball FX
Zen Studios has revealed a packed collection of Pinball FX announcements, led by the arrival of Judge Dredd and two classic Elvira tables on October 22, 2026.The headline addition is Williams Pinball: Judge Dredd, a digital recreation of Bally’s 1993 table based on the long-running British comic-book character. The table will launch simultaneously for Pinball FX, Pinball FX Midnight and Pinball FX VR.
Zen Studios unveiled the table during its latest Pinball Bites presentation alongside a new gameplay trailer. Its appearance also gives the company’s October update an appropriately imposing centrepiece: Judge Dredd was designed by John Trudeau and features artwork inspired by the character’s Mega-City One setting.
Elvira brings two Halloween classics to Pinball FX Midnight
Judge Dredd will not be arriving alone. Williams Pinball: Scared Stiff and Williams Pinball: Elvira and the Party Monsters are both heading to Pinball FX Midnight on October 22.
The timing makes the pair a natural fit for the Halloween season. Elvira and the Party Monsters originally reached arcades in 1989, while its 1996 follow-up Scared Stiff once again combined traditional pinball with the horror host’s campy sense of humour.
Both tables are already represented elsewhere in the broader Pinball FX ecosystem, but their addition expands the darker-themed Midnight line-up. Zen Studios has not yet provided separate pricing details for the October releases.
Pinball FX VR is heading to more platforms
Virtual-reality players also received several updates. Zen Studios confirmed that Pinball FX VR is coming to Steam Frame, while a PlayStation VR2 version is planned for later in 2026. The developer teased that the PS VR2 release will include a surprise, although it is keeping the details under wraps for now. A SteamVR version is less certain. Zen Studios says it is exploring the possibility of bringing Pinball FX VR to SteamVR, but has not formally announced a release.
Pricing and cross-entitlement changes are also on the way
From October 22, Zen Studios will begin standardising the prices of tables and collections across the Pinball FX catalogue. The studio says the change is intended to make pricing easier to understand, although it has not yet published a complete breakdown showing how each individual table or bundle will be affected.
The company also says cross-entitlement between Pinball FX and Pinball FX Midnight on Steam is getting closer. Similar support is already available on other platforms, allowing eligible purchases to carry between the two titles. No firm date was attached to the Steam rollout.
The announcements arrive as Pinball FX passes another milestone. According to Zen Studios, the free-to-play pinball platform has now reached more than three million players. A commemorative giveaway is planned, with further details expected later.
Zen Studios will also attend Pinball Expo alongside X-Arcade, where visitors will be able to play its digital tables using arcade hardware. The company introduced competitive player Sean “The Storm” Grant as its newest Pinball Ambassador.
The most concrete date to remember is October 22, 2026. That is when Judge Dredd arrives across the three current Pinball FX variants, the two Elvira tables join Pinball FX Midnight, and the catalogue-wide pricing adjustments begin.
