Devespresso, the developers behind The Coma and The Coma 2, recently released a brand new teaser trailer for their upcoming game titled Scarlet Hood and the Wicked Wood. MECHBLAZE is a no-nonsense run and gun mech shooter with some great bosses to take down. The game does have a bit of a learning curve due to the controls, but multiple difficulty settings ensure that it is accessible to players of all skill levels. Fans of ASTRO PORT and the Astro Saga universe that they have created will have the most fun with this game, but we also recommend it to anyone who loves a good shooter.
Gameplay: Plenty of guns and more than enough enemies to shoot at.
Graphics: The enemy designs and animations look great.
Sound: Decent, but outstanding

Larry is back after his adventures in Wet Dreams Don’t Dry and this time he has to fend for himself on the wild and untamed islands of Kalau’a. His primary goal is to track down the girl he fell madly in love with during the previous game, but as always with Larry, things are never straightforward. From cryptocurrency pirates and lesbian cannibals to secret caves and mysterious artifacts, this is one of Larry’s biggest adventures yet. Some of the humor is a little forced and the game has a few obscure puzzles, but overall it’s a challenging and enjoyable point and click adventure.
Gameplay: Plenty of puzzles to sink your teeth into.
Graphics: Larry gets to visit a lot of diverse locations in this adventure.
Sound: Decent voice acting and the music isn’t bad either

Take on the mob, the military, and the undead in this Mafia themed 2D shooter. Playing as a mob enforcer named Vinnie this game unleashes players on a city that has been overrun by the living dead. A large arsenal of games makes for a fun shooter, but the controls are a little stiff and the adventure is sadly short-lived. The inclusion of four-player co-op is a welcome one but unfortunately limited to local only. Nevertheless, the game does have its moments and provides plenty of mayhem while it lasts.
Gameplay: Shooting zombies in the head is always fun.
Graphics: The art style is detailed and unique.
Sound: The music and one-liners make it sound like a Mafia b-movie

Ori and the Blind Forest catches the eye right away with its hand-painted visual style, but beneath all the visual gloss beats the fiendish heart of a platformer. It is a joy the explore the vibrant game world, but the occasional spike in difficulty can also cause some frustration. The Definitive Edition of the game comes with plenty of enhancements and improvements that make an already great game even better. If you are a fan of the genre and up for the challenge then you won’t be disappointed with Ori and the Blind Forest.
Gameplay: Nothing drastically new or different, but still fun.
Graphics: The art style is downright beautiful.
Sound: The orchestral soundtrack is very fitting

Primal Light is a linear 2D platformer with some great pixel art and very punishing gameplay. It is very much an old school title, so you can expect limited lives, checkpoints, and having to redo the entire level with each continue. Most platformers have eased up on these things, which means Primal Light can be enjoyably challenging or frustratingly difficult, depending on your skill level. It’s not a game we would recommend to casual players, but if it is a challenge you want you’ll definitely find it here.
Gameplay: Can be brutal at times, but nothing that can’t be overcome with some patience and perseverance.
Graphics: Captures the 16-bit aesthetic perfectly.
Sound: Moody and eerie

Fury Unleashed doesn’t do anything radically different for a platform shooter, but the rogue-lite elements and combo heavy gameplay makes it a blast to play. It’s also very addictive and offers a lot more replay value than typical 2D platform shooters. We would have liked to see more variety when it came to the environments, but the impressive amount of bosses and enemies make up for this. All in all, this is a great game that shouldn’t be missed if you are a fan of the genre.
Gameplay: Fast-paced and very addictive.
Graphics: The comic book art style looks great.
Sound: The music and soundtrack are awesome

Even if you know nothing about the Granblue Fantasy franchise, this fighting game collaboration between Cygames and Arc System Works is a beautiful, yet accessible brawler. With in-depth training modes and a massive RPG section, there’s plenty of content here for players even before sinking their teeth into the multi-player modes. It might not have the biggest roster or most original story, but it is a lot of fun and that’s what matters the most.
Gameplay: Plenty of modes to keep players busy and the game is also very accessible.
Graphics: The art and animation are great.
Sound: The quality of the music, sound effects, and voice-overs are all very high

If you enjoy stylish visuals, fast-paced combat and over the top violence, then The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile will definitely put a grin on your face. It features two different characters, a nice carnage-filled campaign, as well as plenty of extra modes to keep you hacking and slashing. Despite its age (the game was originally released on Xbox 360 back in 2011), Vampire Smile still has what it takes to satisfy fans of the genre.
Gameplay: Fast, fluid and very, very violent.
Graphics: Very stylish, but the art style might not appeal to everyone.
Sound: The soundtrack and sound effects are a perfect match for the action
