Tinykin

Tinykin

Tinykin is a delightful 3D platforming collectathon where a microscopic explorer uses five varieties of colourful creatures to navigate an enormous house frozen in 1991. Its responsive movement, excellent soapboard traversal, clever Tinykin abilities, charming 2D-on-3D presentation, and dense environments make exploration consistently rewarding. The lack of combat keeps everything wonderfully relaxed, while the large number of collectibles provides plenty for completionists. Better fast travel would have made the final cleanup considerably easier, but this remains one of the most enjoyable low-stress exploration games around.

Gameplay: Excellent exploration and traversal supported by five useful Tinykin types, light environmental puzzles, plentiful collectibles, and responsive platforming. The lack of combat creates a wonderfully relaxed experience, although fast travel could have been much more convenient.

Graphics: Charming animated 2D characters blend beautifully with colourful 3D household environments packed with nostalgic detail and personality.

Sound: A lively and varied soundtrack by Alexis Laugier combines with expressive character sounds and excellent environmental effects to give every room its own atmosphere
