Submerged: Hidden Depths builds on the solid foundation of the first game with a bigger world, better visuals, and more things to do. Unfortunately, the game is still devoid of challenges, but its accessibility and lack of threats make for a very relaxing experience. While it will not appeal to everyone, it is a great title for fans of the first game or anyone looking for something calming to play between more challenging titles.

Graphics: Beautiful environments coupled with excellent water and weather effects.

Ghost on the Shore is a first-person exploration game that is thin on puzzles or challenges but delivers in terms of story and characters. Players are taken on a walking tour of the Rogue Islands with a headstrong ghost as a companion. Together the duo has to figure out what happened in the past on this charming but seemingly desolate island and what it means for their futures. Players who dislike walking simulators can give this game a miss, but anyone who enjoys a good story and memorable characters should definitely give it a shot.

Gameplay: There is lots of walking, but the environments are pleasant to explore, and the story is captivating.

Graphics: The watercolor painting aesthetic of the game is a good match for the story.

Sound: Decent voice acting and a great soundtrack

Players get to explore, climb and interact with the remains of a once-towering city or boat across the tranquil waters and storm-driven white-caps surrounding it. It is the story of Miku and Taku, one cursed with a mysterious power that she wants to use for good, while the other is determined not to let it tear them apart. Glyph is a 3D platformer where players control a small golden scarab on a quest to save the world. Using its ability to jump and glide, players must guide Glyph through various levels collecting coins, gems, keys, and more. Precision platforming is required to avoid touching the sand, which causes instant death, but conquering a level is a gratifying experience. In addition to the exploration levels, each of which features a secret skin to find, the game also has Time Trial levels for adrenaline thrillseekers. The lack of checkpoints and instant deaths can be frustrating, but Glyph is addictive enough to keep you coming back for more.

Gameplay: Easy to learn, but some of the levels will really push your limits.

Graphics: Minimal but beautiful environments.

Sound: The soundtrack and sound effects are superb

Deep Rock Galactic is a very satisfying co-op first-person shooter starring dwarves fighting space spiders and other foes. The game is still fun to play solo, but it really shines when you team up with three other players using different classes. The procedurally generated cave systems, different biomes, and unique mission types make this a game that can keep you busy for a long time. It might seem a little daunting at first, but there are enough tutorials to ease you into the swing of things, and you’ll be mining and shooting with the best of them in no time.

Gameplay: A great combination of exploration, mining, and all-out shooting.

Graphics: The low-poly visuals look good, and some of the biomes are downright beautiful.

Sound: The dwarves are all very vocal, and the synth soundtrack is excellent
