The Reject Demon features an interesting cast of characters, twisting storyline and a great setting, which is all backed up by some very nice artwork. The soundtrack is also very good and, while short, it is definitely an enjoyable experience. It ends a little abruptly, but we are definitely looking forward to the future chapters.

Gameplay: The story is enjoyable and the characters all very memorable.

Graphics: The unique art style definitely sets the game apart.

Sound: Features a variety of very nice tracks

Thanks to its great setting and characters, fault milestone one is a very enjoyable and gripping kinetic novel. The story is pretty self-contained, but it does dedicate a lot of time to explaining the unique concepts of the science fantasy world the characters inhabit. The game also features quite a mature storyline, but without resorting to nudity or fanservice which is quite refreshing. If you enjoy kinetic novels with interesting characters and deep storylines you will enjoy fault milestone one.

Gameplay: There is only a single choice in the game, but the gripping storyline will keep you interested.

Graphics: Great character art although the backgrounds are a little limited.

Sound: The game doesn’t feature any speech, but has a really good soundtrack and sound effects

Although it might be set during the last days of a dying planet, Eden* is more about the personal struggles of its interesting cast. The story is wonderfully engaging though and definitely doesn’t pull any punches. Coupled with the amazing artwork and wonderful soundtrack this is a must for fans of the genre. Minori has a great track record when it comes to visual novels and Eden* is definitely amongst their finest.

Gameplay: It is a kinetic novel, so there is no interaction or branching storyline, but the plot is engaging and heartfelt.

Graphics: The visuals are outstanding despite the age of the game and features plenty of cinematic style illustrations.

Sound: The Japanese voice actors do a great job and the soundtrack is incredible

NEKOPARA Vol. 1

If you are looking for something cute, lighthearted, polished and filled to the brim with catgirls then NEKOPARA Vol. 1 is the obvious choice. Even without the h-scenes, the Steam version is an enjoyable, albeit slightly short, romp. The E-mote system works quite well and the artwork by Sayori is absolutely gorgeous. It is not as long or as involving as some other kinetic novels, but serves as a very polished and enjoyable introduction to the genre.

Gameplay: NEKOPARA Vol. 1 is a kinetic novel, so gameplay is restricted to simply clicking through the story.

Graphics: Beautiful artwork by Sayori and the animation is a lot livelier than what is the norm for the genre thanks to the E-mote system.

Sound: Full Japanese voice acting for the catgirls, plenty of sound effects and some very nice tunes
