The upcoming session-based PvE survival game, Icarus, recently received an eight-minute-long documentary-style trailer. Titled, “Icarus: No Rescue”, the trailer features a combination of live-action and game footage. Icarus is being developed by RocketWerkz, the studio of DayZ creator Dean Hall, and will support up to eight players in co-op. The game sees players take limited-time drops onto a broken planet where they need to scavenge rare exotic matter

Need for Speed™ Most Wanted

Need for Speed™ Most Wanted

Need for Speed: Most Wanted might share a name with the 2005 original and feature police chases, but that’s about where the similarities end. The single-player mode feels bland and empty while the multiplayer mode has more in common with Burnout Paradise than Need for Speed. In fact, the entire game feels like an inferior Need for Speed themed imitation of Burnout Paradise, which makes it hard to recommend.

Gameplay: Very lacking compared to previous entries in the series.

Graphics: The graphics are good, but the overall style of the game is very bland.

Sound: The usual selection of licensed tunes, but nothing exceptional

DEATH STRANDING

DEATH STRANDING

Death Stranding is an open-world, third-person title where Hideo Kojima had free reign with his artistic vision. The result is a title that mixes complex story elements with rather straightforward gameplay. Simply carting packages from one point of the map to another might not sound like fun, and frequently it isn’t, but somehow it ends up being very compelling. The story will also keep players guessing and just when you think the game can’t get any stranger something new happens that leaves you shaking your head in disbelief. It’s not a game for everyone, but players who get hooked are in for the ride of their life.

Gameplay: Bewildering and frustrating at times, but also addictive, rewarding, and unlike anything else.

Graphics: The port from PS4 to PC has resulted in a game that looks even better than before.

Sound: Great voice acting and an incredible soundtrack

Eastshade

Eastshade

Eastshade is a peaceful first-person adventure game where players get to explore an island as an artist who specializes in realistic paintings. The game is without risk and danger, so the focus is very much on exploration and interacting with the unique cast of anthropomorphic animals. Some players might find it a little too slow-paced and boring, but despite some technical shortcomings, it is still a great game.

Gameplay: Very peaceful and relaxing.

Graphics: Quite beautiful at times.

Sound: The soundtrack is mellow and the voice acting decent for the most part

DYSMANTLE ( 10tons Ltd)

DYSMANTLE ( 10tons Ltd)

Dysmantle by 10tons Ltd opens with the protagonist emerging from his shelter to a post-apocalyptic island that is overrun with all kinds of hostile creatures. Clearly, something very bad happened, and you might just be the only surviving human left on the island. Fortunately, it appears that there is a way to get off the island, but it is going to take a lot of exploration and preparation to do so successfully

Horizon Zero Dawn™ Complete Edition

Horizon Zero Dawn™ Complete Edition

Horizon Zero Dawn started as a Playstation 4 exclusive a few years back but makes the transition to PC in this complete edition, which includes The Frozen Wilds expansion. Apart from the technical issues affecting some players, it is a beautiful looking game with a stunning open world to explore. The combat against the many different robotic foes remains thrilling throughout and the game is also not lacking in terms of things to do and places to visit. It can become a little repetitive at times and some of the design elements are a little dated, but overall we had fun from start to finish with this game.

Gameplay: The game world is huge, but it’s fun to explore and more than enough to keep players busy.

Graphics: With the right hardware this game looks downright amazing at times.

Sound: Decent voice acting and a great soundtrack
