TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2

TT Isle of Man Ride on the Edge 2 allows players to take on one of the most dangerous and exciting events on the motorcycle sports calendar without having to risk their lives. With online races, an event filled career mode as well as free-roaming challenges this is a game that will keep you busy for hours. However, despite being a serious simulator the game is still accessible enough that newcomers can learn the ropes without giving up in frustration. Even with some rough edges, this is still a game that comes highly recommended to all fans of the genre.

Gameplay: The races are intense and the sense of speed exhilarating.

Graphics: Could be better in spots, but there are also some breathtaking vistas.

Sound: Decent, but the realistic wind noises definitely add to the thrill

WRC 8 FIA World Rally Championship

WRC 8 FIA World Rally Championship

WRC 8 offers a bunch of new improvements and features compared to its predecessors, which makes it one of the best rally simulators currently available. It’s not the easiest of games, but there are enough aspects that can be customized to ensure players of all skill levels can have fun. You will still have to put in the time and effort to really master your vehicle and the demanding courses, but it is more than worth it. The new career mode also has enough depth to keep players hooked, as you make your way up the ranks. If you are looking for an off-road racing game with plenty of depth and mountains of content, then WRC 8 FIA World Rally Championship is it.

Gameplay: Hard to master, but very rewarding.

Graphics: Apart from some rough edges, WRC 8 is a great looking game.

Sound: Everything sounds like it should

All-Star Fruit Racing (3DClouds)

All-Star Fruit Racing (3DClouds)

From Nintendo and Sony to Sega and Konami, there was a time where every developer with a semi decent roster of recognizable characters felt the need to shoehorn their mascots into a kart racing game. Some were good, some not, but the most memorable ones were usually the games featuring well-known characters. 3DClouds, an Italian indie developer doesn’t have the luxury of banking on familiar faces for their title, All-Star Fruit Racing, as it is their debut title. However, this doesn’t mean that the game isn’t worth a closer look as even though it is still an Early Access title, it already impresses

Cherry Tree High Girls’ Fight

Cherry Tree High Girls’ Fight

Cherry Tree High Girl’s Fight is a 2D, turn-based, girl raising simulator with a card battle system for combat, which makes it a pretty niche title. It features a varied selection of girls from which to assemble your team, but lack of animations and a rather lackluster storyline detracts from the experience. The fights are also based a lot around luck, which can further frustrate players. However, anyone who is willing to overlook these flaws will find an enjoyable game with a charming cast of characters.

Gameplay: Raise the stats of your girls and then send them into card based battles for victory.

Graphics: Great artwork, but not many animations.

Sound: The soundtrack is catchy, but the game has no voice acting

Extreme Air Racing Becomes Even More Social With Latest Multiplayer Updates To Altitude0

Extreme Air Racing Becomes Even More Social With Latest Multiplayer Updates To Altitude0

Altitude0: Lower & Faster is a racing game with an aerial twist. Instead of confining players to the road this racer allows players to take to the skies. Don’t expect tranquil flights in the wild blue yonder though as races are kept low, fast and very risky. Going lower means more speed, but with a plethora of threatening obstacles this is easier said than done. While most people have been taking a well-earned break over the holiday season, Gugila, the indie developer behind this Early Access title has been hard at work updating the game with some new multiplayer focused features

Tennis in the Face

Tennis in the Face

Tennis In The Face has much in common with Angry Birds, but smacking clowns, cops, hipsters, and other foes with tennis balls stays entertaining. The game is easy enough for casual players to have fun, but chasing a high score and completing levels with the fewest shots is also a nice challenge. There is nothing groundbreaking about the game, but when it is this much fun and cheap to boot, it doesn’t really matter.

Gameplay: The game offers nothing radically new but still a lot of fun, especially in short bursts.

Graphics: Tennis in the Face has nice character designs and bold colors, but the backgrounds are slightly bland.

Sound: The music is ok, but the sound effects are very good

Super Dodge Ball Advance

Super Dodge Ball Advance

Super Dodge Ball Advance is a lot of fun at first but once you have won a few Championships and seen all the super moves there is not much left to do. Multi-player gives it some more longevity and if you have a game link cable with a friend to join in you can easily add another point or two to the score.

Gameplay: Fairly basic but fast paced and fun.

Graphics: Colorful and detailed 2d visuals.

Sound: Not the best I have heard but generally ok

Nidhogg

Nidhogg

If single player games are your thing then you can probable give Nidhogg a miss. Gather around a few friends and start a tournament if you really want to experience what all the fuss is about. The frantic combat will test your luck and reflexes while the low system requirements means the game will run smoothly on just about any hardware.

Gameplay: The single player is good practice but the real fun lies in multi-player.

Graphics: Retro pixel art with smooth animations.

Sound: A brilliant electronic soundtrack composed by Daedelus

Shufflepuck Cantina Deluxe VR

Shufflepuck Cantina Deluxe VR

While at first glance Shufflepuck Cantina Deluxe might look like a glorified version of Pong it actually has a lot to offer. Your opponents are varied and it takes time to learn how to defeat them while a steady stream of unlocks will keep you coming back for more. Whether you want to play for a few minutes or a few hours, Shufflepuck Cantina Deluxe is a good choice.

Gameplay: Very addictive in short bursts, but can become a bit of a grind.

Graphics: Enhanced enough to not look like a simple mobile port.

Sound: Good tunes but some of the sound effects can become annoying
