TCG Card Shop Simulator Hits 1.0 September 15 With Fully Playable Tetramon TCG

TCG Card Shop Simulator will leave Early Access on September 15, 2026, with its 1.0 release introducing one of the most requested features from the game’s community: a fully playable version of the Tetramon trading card game.

Developed largely as a solo project by Ding Shen Sia of O.P. Neon Games, TCG Card Shop Simulator has spent the past two years steadily expanding its mix of shop management, card collecting and pack-opening obsession. Version 1.0 now closes the loop between collecting Tetramon cards and actually using them, letting players build decks and battle rather than simply treating their collections as stock or display pieces.

O.P. Neon Games says the game has reached more than 3.5 million players across PC and Xbox since entering Early Access. Xbox has separately cited the same 3.5 million-player milestone across Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Game Preview and PC, making the leap to 1.0 a sizeable moment for what began as a solo-developed project.

The playable card game is being called Tetramon Duel Masters. Players can assemble 50-card decks, bring up to four copies of the same card, begin matches with a five-card hand and use a single mulligan before play starts. Matches revolve around 500 Tamer Points, four Guardian cards and four elemental areas, with evolution chains and card positioning forming part of the underlying strategy.

The 1.0 update also expands the management side of the game with tournament functionality. Players can host NPC competitions in their stores, set participation fees and manage events, with the new release materials also showing tournament registration, leaderboards, prizes and dedicated tournament interfaces. It is a logical extension of a game that has always been about turning a tiny card shop into the sort of place where customers actually want to spend far too much money on cardboard.

To mark the release date announcement, O.P. Neon Games has also released a new trailer styled after 1990s Saturday-morning cartoons, mixing animated sequences with footage of the shop-management gameplay.

The September 15 launch will also broaden the game’s platform reach. In addition to PC and Xbox Series X|S, TCG Card Shop Simulator is heading to PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo’s store listings currently show a September 15 release date for both Switch versions, while the PlayStation Store also lists September 15 for the PlayStation release.

TCG Card Shop Simulator entered Steam Early Access on September 15, 2024. The existing version already lets players stock shelves, set prices, hire staff, open booster packs, collect thousands of cards and expand their shops. With 1.0, the long-promised playable TCG finally gives all of those collected cards something more meaningful to do than sit in a binder looking expensive.
