The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410 Reveals Early Access Roadmap Ahead of September 17 Launch
The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410 is just days away from its Early Access debut, and Ashborne Games has now laid out what players can expect at launch and how the medieval economic sim is planned to grow on the road to 1.0.
Launching into Steam Early Access on September 17, Europa 1410 is a remake inspired by the original Europa 1400: The Guild rather than the later entries in the series. The focus is firmly on building a business, growing a dynasty and manipulating the political machinery of a medieval city rather than directly controlling a character through a life sim.
According to the newly released roadmap, Early Access will begin with six cities: Graz, Kuttenberg, Nuremberg, Freiburg, Wroclaw and the tutorial town of Landsfort Herle. Eight professions will be available at launch, including Smith, Tailor, Joiner, Stonemason, Priest, Innkeeper, Alchemist and Perfumer.
Running a successful workshop is only one part of the equation. Players will be able to hire workers, expand businesses, court and marry, produce heirs and continue a campaign across multiple generations. Politics also plays a major role, with office holders able to influence city construction, improve infrastructure and pass laws, while less scrupulous dynasties can lean on bribery and blackmail to get ahead.
The first major post-launch update is currently dubbed the Stabby Update. It will add the Thief, Robber and Guard professions while expanding combat, burglary, cart ambushes and patrols. Duels are also due for a substantial overhaul.
After that comes the appropriately named Backstabby Update, which is set to introduce multiplayer for up to 12 players. Players will be able to compete or cooperate while forming rivalries and alliances, taking part in shared challenges and pursuing different victory conditions. The same update is also planned to deepen the city economy and add another playable city.
The roadmap then points toward a full 1.0 release in summer 2027, although Ashborne Games notes that timing may shift depending on Early Access feedback. The final release is expected to add the Moneylender and Trader professions, a new map and expanded Guild gameplay.
The newly detailed launch plan arrives alongside another milestone for the project, with THQ Nordic saying the game has now passed 300,000 Steam wishlists. A demo is already available through the main Steam page and is due to be updated alongside the Early Access release.
The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410 launches in Early Access on PC via Steam on September 17, 2026.
