Titan Quest II Launches in Full on January 19, 2027

Titan Quest II will leave Early Access and launch in full on 19 January 2027, THQ Nordic and developer Grimlore Games have announced.

The version 1.0 release will arrive simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It follows approximately a year and a half of Early Access development, during which Grimlore Games expanded the action RPG with additional regions, abilities, equipment and other content shaped by player feedback.

Set in a fantastical interpretation of Ancient Greece, Titan Quest II pits players against Nemesis, the Goddess of Retribution. Nemesis has corrupted the Threads of Fate and condemned anyone who opposes her to eternal punishment, leaving players to fight alongside the gods, free her victims and alter fate itself.

The sequel retains the series’ class-building flexibility through its mastery system. Rather than selecting a rigid character class, players combine two masteries and customise the resulting hybrid using attributes, equipment, abilities and skill modifiers. This allows builds to be tailored around different combat styles while encouraging experimentation and repeat playthroughs.

Grimlore Games has also placed a strong emphasis on handcrafted exploration. The campaign spans beaches, temples, haunted ruins and mythical realms, with hidden groves, legendary monsters and optional discoveries scattered throughout the world. Familiar creatures from Greek mythology, including centaurs, cyclopes, gryphons, hippokampoi and ichthians, stand between players and their confrontation with Nemesis.

Combat requires more than simply overwhelming enemies with statistics. Hostile factions can combine their abilities, while players are expected to dodge, counter and time their attacks. Rituals provide a way to adjust the difficulty, and the loot system is designed to ensure that equipment remains relevant to the various character builds.

Version 1.0 will bring the Early Access material together as the complete campaign, but it will not mark the end of development. THQ Nordic says Titan Quest II will continue receiving updates after launch, including new lands, features and further stories. Additional details about pre-order bonuses, a mythical creature and a hidden treasure are expected to be revealed before release.

The PC edition will carry a suggested retail price of $49.99/€49.99 at launch, while the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions will cost $59.99/€59.99. The game is currently available in Early Access through Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Titan Quest II is being developed by Grimlore Games, the studio behind SpellForce 3, and published by THQ Nordic.
