The Fidelio Incident

The Fidelio Incident

The Fidelio Incident is a single-player first-person thriller that follows the aftermath of a plane crash. Taking control of Stanley, one of the two people onboard the plane, players must navigate a frozen island off the coast of Iceland to reach the other survivor, Leonore. Along the way, players must also find diary pages that chronicle the events that led up to the two Irish citizens’ predicament. While the game is a walking simulator, it does try to break free from some of the confines of the genre with a few puzzles and other interactive elements. The results are not always that great, but overall, the game delivers a gripping experience with an interesting story.

Gameplay: Despite some basic survival elements and a few puzzles, The Fidelio Incident is very much a walking simulator.

Graphics: The game features decent visuals courtesy of Unreal Engine 4, and some scenes are quite beautiful.

Sound: The haunting soundtrack is really good, and the caliber of the voice acting is very high

The Fabled Woods

The Fabled Woods

The Fabled Woods is a visually impressive narrative short story set in a very picturesque environment. The game is all about marveling at your surroundings and soaking up the atmosphere, but the story could have been more immersive. With the right hardware, the game looks incredible, but it is a pity that the overall story doesn’t quite reach the same heights. If you are a fan of the genre it is worth a play, but aside from the visuals, there’s nothing here that really pushes the envelope for these types of games.

Gameplay: The story starts strong and mysterious, but feels somewhat rushed towards the end.

Graphics: With the right hardware the game looks downright incredible.

Sound: An atmospheric soundtrack and decent voice acting

Star Sky

Star Sky

Star Sky is a mysterious, relaxing game about a man on a midnight walk. The stylish 2D silhouette visuals and ethereal soundtrack make for a very atmospheric game. However, it is also very short and can be completed without much of a challenge. Anyone looking for a traditional game will be disappointed by Star Sky, but open-minded players who enjoy unique gaming experiences will enjoy it.

Gameplay: Very short and simple, but also quite charming.

Graphics: Minimalistic but stylish.

Sound: Great ambient sounds and soothing music
