2B Joins Roster of Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising
In a recent press release, Tokyo-based video game developer and publisher Cygames, Inc. announced the rollout of the Version 1.21 update for Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising (GBVSR) in collaboration with Arc System Works, Inc., Ltd. This highly anticipated update brings forth a wave of new content, including the addition of 2B from NieR:Automata as a playable character, along with tie-in content from Princess Connect! Re: Dive.
The Version 1.21 update, released on February 20, introduces 2B, the renowned battle android from NieR:Automata, to the roster of playable characters. This update also includes a network indicator for online Ranked and Casual matches, Oceania server selection, and various bug fixes to enhance the gaming experience. The character set, priced at €7.99, includes the playable character, online lobby avatar for Grand Bruise Legends!, badge, and various poses and expressions for Figure Studio. Additionally, players purchasing the set for PlayStation®5 and PlayStation®4 platforms will receive the exclusive YoRHa Uniform outfit for the original Granblue Fantasy mobile game.
Moreover, Cygames unveils the second tie-in premium avatar set featuring characters from Princess Connect! Re: Dive, including Pecorine, Kokkoro, Karyl, and Sheffy. This set, priced at €12.99, offers premium avatars, badges, and more.
In a significant development, GBVSR has been selected as a main title for two major tournaments: Evolution Championship Series 2024 (Evo 2024) in Las Vegas from July 19 to 21, 2024, and EVO Japan 2024 presented by ROHTO in Tokyo from April 27 to 29, 2024. To celebrate these updates and achievements, GBVSR is now on sale on Steam for the first time, offering discounts on both the Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition until February 29, 2024. The Deluxe Edition includes the Deluxe Character Pass 1 DLC, which features the newly playable character 2B.
