Free Browser-Based Word Game QuERTY Now Available

Anyone with a fondness for word games should definitely not miss out on QuERTY, which can be played for free in your browser. QuERTY challenges players to find as many words as possible hidden in a 5X5 grid. The catch is that each day a new QuERTY board is available and players only have five minutes to find them. Words can be created by linking adjacent letters and obviously longer words reward players with more points. Once the five minutes are up players can view their score along with a list of all the words that they have managed to find. The best part is that they can then share and compare their score with others for some friendly competition.

QuERTY is a title that is easy to pick up and play, but addictive enough that we were grateful for the five-minute timer preventing us from spending too much time on it. In addition, the interface is polished and casual players should have no trouble getting started and having fun after watching the short tutorial. On the other hand, serious players will love how the game keeps track of extensive statistics, such as the number of games played, average score, average words, best score, and most words. Personally, we are big fans of the game using color-coding for the words, with longer words being assigned “rarer” colors. This makes it easy to see at a glance who had the longest words and not just the most ones when comparing scores.

Since QuERTY is completely free there’s no reason not to give it a whirl by visiting the official website. It has been our go-to game before bedtime each day and has also sparked some friendly competition around the office. QuERTY scores can be shared on social media, so be sure to tag @GAMERamble so we can see who the real wordsmiths are! We also recommend giving the creator, bionoid, a follow on Twitter (@b10noid) for feedback and suggestions.

English is not my very first language so i cannot get the biggest words but i like this game. Maybe it can show biggest possible word to have gotten after you finish so you learn for next time? Also have you thought of putting the game on GXC?
