Massive Gaming Funnies And Fails: Weird Stuff We All Do
Hey there, fellow gamers, and welcome to an exciting edition of gaming funnies and fails, covering all the weird and wacky stuff we like doing as a community. Sometimes, it’s just good to get a little outside perspective and look at all the hilarious and strange things we’re doing as a community. If none of these funnies or fails apply to you, then perhaps you aren’t taking gaming seriously enough!
Trying To Jump Over Fences In Games
Games love to box us in, but we’re constantly looking for ways to escape as gamers. Nothing would make us happier than being able to run in one direction forever and never run out of pixels.
But, of course, that’s not how the game world works. Most aren’t procedural, meaning you can’t just explore them forever, as you can in real life.
Even so, it doesn’t seem to make much of a difference to us gamers. We try to climb ropes, jump over walls, and explore distant planets in the game world, just because we think it’s fun to try.
Obsess Over How Our Systems Look
Gamers are also strangely obsessed with how their systems look. Despite all the action happening on the screen, we love fawning over our towers and how wonderful they look, whirring away in a semi-darkened room.
Some of us even go as far as to research sticker manufacturing companies or fan brands just to make sure our cases look perfect. We want them to look like something you might see at an Nvidia trade show stand.
Reloading When Guards Catch You In A Stealth Game
For some people, reloading in a stealth game when you get caught is another common habit. You want to sneak about like some sociopath, but you can’t because there’s always a siren going off. In this situation, do you reload your last save and try again, or do you go full Rambo and start shooting everything that moves? Either way, it’s always a thrill to see how the situation unfolds, and sometimes it leads to some epic moments or hilarious fails.
Getting Too Scared To Look At The Screen In A Horror Game
For other people, problems start emerging when the gaming experience becomes too scary. It can get so bad you can’t even look at the screen. You’re constantly covering your eyes with your hands or a pillow. You wonder why you’re torturing yourself with this game, but you can’t stop playing because you want to see how it ends.
Admit it: we’ve all been there. Any Walking Dead or Resident Evil fans out there?
Talking To NPCs
Talking to NPCs is common practice in most RPGs. But when we say talk here, we mean really talking to them personally. As in, you’re playing the game, but then you start having a conversation with the auctioneer or some random quest-giver. It’s a way of immersing ourselves in the game and making it more fun. But it’s also a little weird, particularly when you scold them for doing something wrong. It’s a way of immersing ourselves in the game and making it more fun.
