New Gameplay Trailer Released For Upcoming 2D Metroidvania Title B.I.O.T.A

B.I.O.T.A is a game that should be high on the wishlists of those who fondly remember the days of glorious 8-bit visuals. This upcoming 2D Metroidvania by Small Bros promises to be a love letter to adventure games of the past and is set for release on Steam and GOG later in 2021.

B.I.O.T.A is the second release by Small Bros, the one-person video game studio founded by Ivan Porrini. It allows players to take command of the Gemini 2 command squad and then explore a mutant-filled asteroid. Frontier Horizon, the asteroid mining base, features more than ten biomes, which is home to the more than 40-types of mutants that players will encounter. Each of your eight squad members will also discover unique unlockable weapons and abilities as they fight to survive the game’s deadly trap and mutant-filled corridors. Players can explore frontier Horizon on foot and in multiple vehicles, but danger is always lurking around the corner.
