Teaser Trailer Released For Scarlet Hood and the Wicked Wood

Devespresso, the developers behind The Coma and The Coma 2, recently released a brand new teaser trailer for their upcoming game titled Scarlet Hood and the Wicked Wood. The game, which is set to arrive on Steam in February of next year, is a story-driven fantasy puzzle game described as Groundhog Day meets Brothers Grimm Meets Oz.

Scarlet Hood features the same signature manhwa-style hand-illustrated visuals that have become synonymous with Devespresso. The protagonist, Scarlet, is a rock diva in the making, but thanks to a rogue tornado she finds herself in the realm of Glome. It is a vibrant world that is not just brimming with magic and beauty, but also artifacts from a mysterious bygone culture. Scarlet will have to take up the mantle of the Red Witch and set out on an adventure full of riddles and wonders. She is tasked with leading a troupe of Munchkins safely through the forbidden Wicked Wood; not an easy feat with beasts, monsters, and other fearsome creatures roaming about. Fortunately, Scarlet will have access to some witching skills to avoid detection, but players will also have to put their problem-solving skills to good use when it comes to the puzzles in the game.

Apparently Scarlet is the victim of a Recursion Hex, though, which will see her reliving the same day in a recurring time loop. Thanks to this feature and the decisions that Scarlet can make along the way the game will also feature multiple endings.
