WRC 9 Will Feature Rally Japan
The launch of WRC 9 is looming large on the horizon, which means plenty of new and exciting reveals about what fans can expect. The latest gameplay trailer released by NACON introduced Rally Japan, which is a brand new rally that will feature in the game. With narrow asphalt roads and aggressive corners, it is going to require some serious driving skills to overcome.
Rally Japan will feature alongside the new rallies in New Zealand and Kenya and is making its return for the first time since 2011. It features the thrilling mountains and forests of the Aichi and Gifu districts, but don’t let the lush environment distract you from this demanding course.
WRC 9 is set to release on September 3rd, 2020, and will be available on Xbox One, PS4, as well as from the EPIC Game Store for PC. The release timing for Xbox Series X, PS5, and Nintendo Switch will be announced at a later date. The Standard and Deluxe Digital Editions of WRC9 can already be pre-ordered on Xbox Live, PlayStore, and EPIC Games Store.
WRC 8, which scored 8.3/10 in our review last year, is going to be a tough act to follow, but it looks like KT Racing is pulling out all the stops this year. They have promised an enhanced career mode, many technical improvements as well as exclusive new game modes. Over 50 official teams and their livery from the WRC, WRC 2, WRC 3, and Junior WRC will be included in the game along with over 15 bonus cards, all of which have left their mark on the history of the WRC. Check out the brand-new gameplay video below as well as the 4K screenshots and be sure to visit the official WRC 9 website for more info.
