Warhammer: Chaosbane Receives Free Update

Warhammer fans should be aware by now that the “Skulls for the Skull Throne 4” event is in full swing over on Steam. The weekend-long celebration of all things Warhammer is now in its fourth year and features plenty of discounts and new content for the various titles in the franchise.

One of the games that are part of the event is Warhammer: Chaosbane. Not only do all editions of the game have a hefty 60% discount, but a free update has also been made available to all players. The update comes with numerous enhancements that have been requested by the community, ranging from a new PC interface to control modification settings. In addition, the game now has a brand new “Tower of Chaos” which has been introduced. The objective of this infinite tower mode is to climb as high as possible while facing increasingly powerful waves of enemies. Of course, the higher you go the better the rewards are too, but if you become overconfident you’ll leave empty-handed. It won’t be a walk in the park either as eight new enemies make their home in the Tower of Chaos.

Warhammer: Chaosbane was the first hack and slash to take place in the Warhammer Fantasy Battles world and has had several updates since its launch. These included bug fixes, item balancing, and new loot items that made the game more enjoyable to play. New content, such as the Tomb Kings DLC and a new act, called The Forges of Nuln, also gave players reasons to come back for more. The release of Keela, the Dawi Engineer character marked the end of the content roadmap, but the developers are clearly not done with the game as is evident with the release of the Tower of Chaos.

Check out the video with commentary by the game team below and head on over to Steam to grab Warhammer: Chaosbane at a discount until June 2, 2020. For more information keep an eye on the Warhammer: Chaosbane Facebook or Twitter accounts.
