As we near the end of the year it is easy to overlook some hidden gems and Eternal Maze by FredBear Games definitely falls into this category. This 2D pixel puzzle adventure was recently released for both iOS and Android as a premium title, but don’t let its cute looks fool you. The game places you in control of a hapless farmer who wanders into his corn fields one day only to discover that aliens have turned them into an endless maze. As if this wasn’t bad enough, the guard dogs patrolling the fields have also been turned against you by the alien meddlers. Escaping won’t be easy, but the fate of the world might depend on it
While we love the fact that mobile games these days can be just as immersive as their console or computer counterparts, there are still times when all we want is something to play in a quick blast. Bird Cage, which can be grabbed for free from the iTunes App Store, definitely falls into this category. It is a fast-paced and challenging game which, in addition to being quite entertaining, actually gives you a chance to win real world prizes
Some games are fun, others are challenging and a few can even be very relaxing. Water Heroes: A Game For Change by Insignio Labs are all of the above while also giving you the opportunity to help save lives. This is because half of the game’s revenue will be donated directly to project ClearWater, which is aimed at bringing clean water to the people of Ecuador. This is certainly a very worthy cause, but the actual game is definitely worthwhile too
As if there isn’t enough diseases with scary names and even scarier symptoms, the government has cooked up a new one, code-named H7. It is a form of bovine spongiform encephalopathy, which sounds terrifying enough without even knowing that it turns people into zombies. Not content with simple lab tests, the government started experimenting on people, which as any horror fan will know, caused the virus to spread like wildfire. The good news is that you are one of the very few people who are immune against the effects of H7. The bad news is that everyone else have turned into ferocious zombies and they all want to use your head as a chew-toy
