Good news for those eagerly awaiting Toren, the dark fantasy adventure game from Brazilian independent developer Swordtales. The final launch date for the game has been set for May 12 2015 and the game can be pre-ordered already. Toren will be available for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system as well as PC at a price of $9.99/£6.29/8.99€. PC owners can take advantage of a 10% discount when pre-ordering the game. In addition, the full original soundtrack of the game will also be available as part of the “Deluxe Edition” which is also up for pre-order.

The protagonist of Toren, Moonchild, must climb the vast tower in which the game takes place while solving puzzles and defeating monsters. Starting as an infant, Moonchild will grow to maturity over the course of the game and also discover the true origins of the tower. The beautiful art direction and unique setting ensures that Toren is an eye-catching title, but with a giant dragon awaiting players at the top of the tower it seems that action fans are in for a treat as well.

After creating one of the most popular simulation titles on Steam in 2014, the team behind Car Mechanic Simulator 2014 is back with a direct sequel. According to the developers, the original game was purchased by more than 4 million players, but this doesn’t mean that they are resting on their laurels for the sequel. Instead the team, which is composed of people from PlayWay INC and Red Dot Game Studios, listened to player feedback and is creating a game with plenty of new stuff.

It's not every day that you get to swim around a tranquil underwater kingdom and interact with a pantheon of gods, but that's precisely what is in store for players of Mythic Ocean. The game is set to release sometime later this year, but the developers, Paralune was kind enough to provide us with a demo to check out in the meantime. They describe Mythic Ocean as a narrative exploration game, which is pretty apt as there is no combat or death to worry about in this title. Instead, you can take your time to explore your surroundings and chat with the goofy cast of characters that inhabit it.

Mystic Destinies: Serendipity of Aeons By Star Maiden Games

We’ve noticed a lot of otome visual novels popping up lately and, judging by the speed at which Mystic Destinies is getting funded on Kickstarter, there is definitely a demand for more. This urban fantasy otome visual novel focusses on the tale of a college girl who finds out that she isn’t quite as ordinary as she thought. The game is being developed by Star Maiden Games, a new start-up visual novel company who aim to make their mark on the genre with high quality, compelling titles. The team also have their sights on busting the usual genre tropes, which should be interesting.
