Remix Album Announced For 20th Anniversary of Deus Ex
The original Deus Ex was a groundbreaking game for its time and even after a handful of sequels it still holds a special place for many. We were dismayed to learn that it has already been almost 20 years since it was first released, but at least this blow was softened by the announcement of a new remix album. Even better the album, titled Conspiravision: Deus Ex Remixed, will feature the original composers.
Conspiravision spans 17 tracks dedicated to the original Deus Ex and will feature remixes by Alexander Brandon and Michiel van den Bos. Both of them were composers for the original game and according to Brandon, they have been asked to do more Deus Ex music ever since it was released. Unfortunately, nothing ever quite came to fruition for the various other Deus Ex projects. However, Brandon noted that this album is different because it is mostly electronic and gave them the opportunity to write it as they might have 20 years later.
The pre-order period for Conspiravision began today and the album will be available in digital and physical CD formats. The official release date is set to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the game’s release on June 23, 2020.
The track list for Conspiravision is as follows:
