SNK Releases Two New Retro Titles On Steam
Retro game fans are in for a treat as SNK has just released both NEOGEO POCKET COLOR Selection Vol. 1 and SNK VS. Capcom: The Match of the Millenium on Steam. The Neo Geo Pocket Color was released in the late nineties and was home to a great selection of games, with most produced by SNK themselves. Now, for the first time, Steam users can delve into a selection of ten classic Neo Geo titles. Along with the games listed below, this collection also allows players to view 3D models of the games and their cartridges. Some of the games also support two-player local co-op and are compatible with the Steam Remote Play Together feature.

Fans who know their retro titles might have spotted that SNK Vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millenium, which was included on the Nintendo Switch version of the collection, is absent. Instead, it has been replaced by a new title, Crush Roller. The good news is that the SNK and Capcom fighting game mash-up is also available on Steam as a separate purchase. Featuring 26 fights from the King of Fighters, Samurai Shodown, Street Fighter, and Darkstalkers series, this game didn’t let the small screen size of the NEO GEO Pocket Color hold it back. SNK Vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millenium on Steam features everything from the original, including the Survival, Time Attack, and Mini Games.
Along with all the Neo Geo Pocket Color goodness, SNK has not forgotten fans of their other titles either. The King of Fighters ’98 Ultimate Match Final Edition, which many players consider to be amongst the best in the series, will also be getting an update on Steam. SNK has promised to reveal Beta Test details soon, but apparently, the game will receive a major update, including rollback netcode.
Both NEOGEO POCKET COLOR Selection Vol. 1 Steam Edition and SNK Vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millenium are available on Steam right now definitely worth checking out if you are a fan of retro games.
