Winter Wolves Releases New Dating Sim RPG Hybrid Queen of Thieves

Longtime fans of indie developers, Winter Wolves, might remember a little game called “Queen of Thieves” that was announced way back in 2011. The good news is that the game is now finally available on desktop platforms, with a Steam and mobile release also around the corner. It is a dating sim/RPG hybrid, with an optional “visual novel” mode for those who are not fans of role playing elements.

Queen of Thieves is the tale of three sisters, Joanne, Kira and Thalia who receive word from their father that their mother could still be alive. This is quite a shock as she was the Queen of Thieves and believed to have been executed by the villainous Lord Raul Capello more than twenty years ago. The information comes via a shadowy figure, who are willing to reveal more, but at a price. Now the sisters must follow in the footsteps of their mother and rob the rich as they meet the demands of their mysterious benefactor.

The game features a host of characters to interact with and in typical Winter Wolves fashion many of them can be romanced as well. From Tiberius the guard captain to Mary-Ann the blacksmith and many more, fans of otome and yuri romances will be spoiled for choice.

Queen of Thieves is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux at a price of $24.99 from the official Winter Wolves website. There you will also find a separate version for sale which includes a bunch of extra goodies, such as the soundtrack, extra artwork and wallpapers. Both come with the possibility to redeem a free Steam key later when the game is released on Valve’s service. Those who first want to see if the game will appeal to them can download the free demo from the official website.
