Chances are you have already played a game similar to Birdman Rally before, but that does not make it any less fun. This game is all about the distance and while there is a large element of luck involved it takes some skill as well. The game is completely free and the ads are not that intrusive. You can buy in-game currency as well to upgrade your plane, but this is not required as you can do the same just by playing the game and earning your coins the hard way.

Gameplay: Starts off easy enough, but soon becomes very challenging.

Graphics: Bright and colorful.

Sound: Pretty minimal, but that is not a bad thing

Bust-A-Move: Ghost

Bust-A-Move Ghost is a nice game, but the formula is starting to get a bit old by now. The saving grace of this game is the myriad of play modes and it really is one of those games that you’ll keep returning to. Newcomers will love it.

Gameplay: Same old Bust-A-Move, but just lots more of it.

Graphics: Crisp, clear and fitting the PSP wide screen perfectly..

Sound: Spooky tunes, but fairly annoying

Angry Birds was already an enormous success on iOS before it was ported to Android so there was never any doubt that this would be a hit. The Android version is polished, addictive and has been receiving constant updates making it one of the best time wasters available on the platform.

Gameplay: Fiendishly addictive.

Graphics: Very stylish and easy on the eyes.

Sound: Catchy theme song and good sound effects

BioBeasts: Mutate & Destroy

Help a mutating monster escape the clutches of some evil robots in this fun arcade-style survival game from Artix Entertainment. It features a nice assortment of monsters, all of whom can be customized to your liking using varies mutations. You also get to bash in plenty of robotic skulls, but helping your creature reach freedom is going to take quick reflexes. BioBeasts not only looks great, but it is also addictive enough that you’ll keep returning to it for just one more go. Best of all it is a free to play title that isn’t crammed with intrusive or unfair adverts and in-app purchases.

Gameplay: BioBeasts is simple to play, but very addictive and the ability to equip your creature with mutations provide it with plenty of variety.

Graphics: Everything from the creature designs to the look of the enemies and levels are top notch.

Sound: The music is fitting and the sound effects very good

If you are looking for a game that is easy to pick up and play, but challenging enough to keep you coming back for more then you’ll get a kick out of Lichtspeer. It only takes one level to learn everything you need to know to stay alive, but thanks to the overwhelming odds against you it never becomes boring. The difficulty ramps up very quickly, but because the game is so addictive you’ll be back after every rage quit.

Gameplay: Easy to pick up and play, but hard to master.

Graphics: The retro futuristic visual style is a nice match for the setting.

Sound: The soundtrack is great and you’ll encounter some hilarious speech samples too

This game started out life as a tech-demo and while it has been fleshed out a bit it still loses its shine too soon. The gameplay is novel enough, but after a few hours of just drawing Pac-Men you might find yourself yearning for something with a bit more depth.

Gameplay: The novelty factor is high, but the concept soon becomes tiresome.

Graphics: About as good as you can draw Pac-Man.

Sound: The tunes trigger some nostalgia

Defender

Defender is a pretty basic castle defense game, but it is fun to play. With the same playing field and a rather limited selection of monsters it can become a bit boring the more you play. While the game is free there is also a cash shop where crystals and cash can be bought unless you prefer to grind for these valuable resources. A nice game to play every once in a while, but it soon grows tiring.

Gameplay: Addictive at first, but the lack of variety can make it a bit boring later on.

Graphics: Very polished, but could have used some more variety.

Sound: The sound effects are good

Mr. Driller is not a bad game and it certainly has some addictive qualities, but there’s just nothing here to justify buying it on the DS. Better puzzle games that make full use of the DS capabilities will soon come along so only get this if you are really a fan of the character and genre.

Gameplay: Arcade gaming with a puzzle twist.

Graphics: Bright and colorful but that’s about it.

Sound: Bad voice acting and annoying sound effects

Cubixx HD takes the addictive formula of the old arcade hit Qix and brings it into the modern era. The 3D playing field increases the challenge, but the basics can be mastered in no time. Putting up a decent high score and completing the Challenge levels takes a bit more practice, though, not to mention taking on the online leaderboards. Even when failing repeatedly, the addictive gameplay, stylish visuals, and thumping soundtrack will keep you returning for more.

Gameplay: The game is easy to learn but challenging to master, just like a good arcade or puzzle game should be.

Graphics: The visuals are not too flashy but very nice overall.

Sound: This is definitely a game where you will want to crank the volume up loud
