Fellow Traveller Announced As Publisher of Beacon Pines

Hiding Spot Games, the developer of the upcoming cute and creepy storybook adventure, Beacon Pines, has announced that Fellow Traveller will be handling publishing duties. Fellow Traveller is an experienced indie publisher, and since they have a special focus on narrative games, it means Beacon Pines is a great match for their expertise.

Beacon Pines is a storybook adventure game that casts players in the role of both the book’s reader as well as its main character. The lead is a young boy who is on a quest to investigate the mysterious events taking place in his hometown. During this adventure, he will find charms inscribed with new words that make it possible to rewrite past events. This, in turn, leads to entire new timelines for players to explore.

What makes Beacon Pines unique is that there will be no combat, and the game instead focuses on exploration, deep character-driven dialogue, and light puzzle-solving. As players explore an illustrated town full of charming characters, they will also uncover some unnerving secrets. Beacon Pines is set to release on PC and Nintendo Switch in 2022, but more platforms might also be possible.
