Pokémon Sword

Pokémon Sword

While Pokemon Sword doesn’t quite live up to the expectations of Pokemon fans, it is still a very enjoyable title. It does lack half of the Pokemon in the National Pokedex but features plenty of new ones as well as some interesting features, such as Dynamaxing. The story is a little weak, but the Pokemon battles are as enjoyable as always and the gym battles are some of the best in the series. As long as you don’t mind the fact that not all the Pokemon are present in this outing and that the game is maybe a little too easy you will have fun with this title.

Gameplay: It is still a lot of fun as a Pokemon title, but doesn’t quite live up to its high expectations.

Graphics: The game looks great but not as great as some of the other Nintendo Switch titles.

Sound: The lack of voice acting is disappointing, but the music and sound effects are good

Dragon Age: Origins – Leliana’s Song

Dragon Age: Origins – Leliana’s Song

Leliana’s Song is a pretty short standalone campaign, which is a must download for fans of the sneaky bard and Dragon Age completionists. As for the rest, well if you are not tired of Dragon Age yet and don’t mind shelling out for a very short adventure then you can do far worse than this.

Gameplay: Pretty short, but action packed and polished.

Graphics: Same old Dragon Age, nothing new.

Sound: Some nice voice acting throughout

Fallout 3

Fallout 3

The shift towards a more action oriented first person view might not sit well with purists, but Fallout 3 is still a very entertaining and highly engrossing role playing game. Exploring the wasteland and all its perils is a memorable experience and there is enough to do in this game to keep you busy for ages. The game wasn’t without its bugs when it first launched, but has stabilized a lot since then and there are also hundreds of mods available to enhance the experience.

Gameplay: More action and a little less role playing than the previous Fallout titles, but still good.

Graphics: While not exactly cutting edge the visuals still allow for an immersive experience.

Sound: The game features a great selection of classic tunes

Planescape: Torment

Planescape: Torment

You just don’t get games like this anymore and it is with good reason that Planescape Torment is constantly rated amongst the best games of all time. It is a nice departure from similar games in the genre but you are going to need patience and perseverance to stick with it. Once you get caught up in the fate of the nameless one however there’s no turning back until you have seen all that this game has to offer.

Gameplay: Planescape Torment is a solid RPG experience that should please all fans of the genre.

Graphics: Showing their age but the story makes up for the lack in visuals.

Sound: Excellent voice work and great sound effects not to mention stirring music
