Fatshark, the independent developer behind titles such as Lead and Gold, War of the Roses, and Krater are hard at work on their next game, Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide. However, they need a little help naming one of the weapons in the game and are looking to reward fans for lending assistance.

According to Martin Wahlund, CEO of Fatshark, their staff normally suggests names for the various weapons in the game using a big board in the office. One specific Great Sword stubbornly remained unnamed though, and now Fatshark is turning to the community for the answer.

The community can suggest ideas for the weapon name at http://vermintide.com/thesword/ and Fatshark will then decide on a winner. Whoever comes up with the winning entry will not only see their suggestion become the official name of the Great Sword in the game, but will also end up in the credits of Vermintide. In addition, Fatshark is throwing in a copy of the game, so don’t miss out on this opportunity.

As for the game itself, players will be able to select from a band of five different heroes trying to survive the relentless onslaught of Skaven. The heroes all have different play-styles and abilities as well as gear and personalities. Vermintide is set in the End Times of the Warhammer Fantasy universe and is set for release Q3 2015.
