Leisure Suit Larry – Wet Dreams Dry Twice

Leisure Suit Larry – Wet Dreams Dry Twice

Larry is back after his adventures in Wet Dreams Don’t Dry and this time he has to fend for himself on the wild and untamed islands of Kalau’a. His primary goal is to track down the girl he fell madly in love with during the previous game, but as always with Larry, things are never straightforward. From cryptocurrency pirates and lesbian cannibals to secret caves and mysterious artifacts, this is one of Larry’s biggest adventures yet. Some of the humor is a little forced and the game has a few obscure puzzles, but overall it’s a challenging and enjoyable point and click adventure.

Gameplay: Plenty of puzzles to sink your teeth into.

Graphics: Larry gets to visit a lot of diverse locations in this adventure.

Sound: Decent voice acting and the music isn’t bad either

klocki

klocki

Klocki is a short and relaxing puzzle title that should appeal to all fans of the genre. Thanks to the lack of timers, ratings, leaderboards, and points it’s a very calming experience too. Although it starts very easy the game continually introduces new puzzle elements and then combines everything for a bigger challenge. Nevertheless, most players should be able to complete every level in under two hours, but seeing as the game is so cheap this is still great value for money.

Gameplay: Somewhat easy, but very enjoyable and relaxing.

Graphics: The minimal visuals fit the calming nature of the game.

Sound: Just as calming and soothing as the visual style

Home Sheep Home: Farmageddon Party Edition

Home Sheep Home: Farmageddon Party Edition

Home Sheep Home: Farmageddon Party Edition is a casual puzzle adventure based on the popular Aardman Animations license. While it lacks the claymation style visuals of the source material the game still looks good and, more importantly, it is a lot of fun to play. There’s nothing here that is too taxing, so even younger players can enjoy the adventures of the three mischievous sheep. We would have liked to play the multiplayer aspects of the game online, but unfortunately, these are limited to local players only.

Gameplay: Not very difficult, but quite creative and fun to play.

Graphics: Looks like a children’s storybook that has come to life.

Sound: Good, but not great

Players must help them solve the logic puzzles that stand between them and the truth of what happened. While not a very long game the puzzles are enjoyable and very satisfying to solve.

Gameplay: The puzzles can be challenging, but are never illogical.

Graphics: Not a lot of visual options, but the graphics look decent.

Sound: Voice acting is a little stiff, but the soundtrack is good

TurnOn

TurnOn

TurnOn is a unique platform game in which players must guide a tiny alien spark along electric wires to help restore power to a city experiencing a blackout. The game is very casual and relaxing for the most part, but some unexpected runner-style sections can cause frustration. It is also a very short game, but the healthy dose of achievements helps with the replay value.

Gameplay: The game is casual and relaxing until the runner sections make an appearance.

Graphics: TurnOn features 3D visuals that are viewed from a primarily 2D perspective.

Sound: The jazzy soundtrack is a highlight

The Gardens Between

The Gardens Between

The Gardens Between is a relaxing and charming puzzle game based around friendship and memories. It features time manipulation for puzzle solving but never becomes too complicated or convoluted. The visuals are detailed and beautiful while the audio complements the dreamlike atmosphere nicely. While it’s not a very lengthy or particularly challenging game, it still makes for an enjoyable experience.

Gameplay: The puzzles are clever, but never too taxing.

Graphics: Very detailed and beautifully animated.

Sound: The soundtrack is very soothing

Bright Paw

Bright Paw

Bright Paw is a great puzzle adventure starring an adorable feline protagonist. The card-based movement mechanics make for interesting puzzles, especially when special abilities are thrown into the mix. While not the most challenging puzzle game available, it’s enjoyable and has a polished look and feel.

Gameplay: The game is not very difficult but remains fun throughout.

Graphics: The art style is neat, with plenty of imaginative levels.

Sound: The soundtrack is beautiful, and the standard of voice acting is very high

The Room Three

The Room Three

The Room Three builds upon everything that made the previous two games so successful and adds some interesting ideas of its own. It’s much more ambitious than the past games, with larger environments and more exploration. The visuals and audio are top-notch, and the puzzles are extremely satisfying to solve. It’s still a relatively short experience, but the inclusion of alternate endings that require some effort to uncover adds some longevity.

Gameplay: You’ll love this game if you are a puzzle fan.

Graphics: The visuals are beautifully detailed.

Sound: The music is sparse, but the sound effects are great

Knot

Knot

Knot is an enjoyable puzzle game that is based on interlocking burr puzzles. It’s a decent-looking game, but the control scheme leaves much to be desired. With 40 puzzles on offer, the game can be completed in a few hours, but considering the low price tag, it is still something that will keep puzzle fans entertained despite the niggles.

Gameplay: The concept is very enjoyable, but the controls let the game down.

Graphics: The puzzles look great, and the wood, stone, copper, and other materials for the textures add some visual variety.

Sound: Although the soundtrack is quite relaxing, it’s not very varied
