The Killer 4 Bundle by Bundle Stars

So far all the Killer bundles from Bundle Stars have more than lived up to their names and this fourth offering is definitely no exception. It is becoming harder and harder to find bundles containing games that have never been bundled before, but the Killer Bundle 4 offers just that. Featuring ten titles, half of them with trading cards, at a discount of 96% means this is one bundle that shouldn’t be missed.

theHunter: Primal

Windows | View this game on Steam | Single Player | Multi-player | Co-op | Steam Achievements | Steam Leaderboards |

Think you can survive in a Cretaceous world that is inhabited by bloodthirsty dinosaurs? Discover for yourself in theHunter: Primal if you have what it takes to go toe-to-toe with a Tyrannosaurus Rex and four other dinosaur species. The game is set on the planet of Primal Eden, where your character is tasked with the reclaiming the savage wilderness in exchange for the expulsion of their criminal record. Starting out with very little equipment you must explore your surroundings and scavenge more powerful weapons and clothing before taking on the wildlife. The game can be played in single or multi-player and since this is its first bundle appearance it is a great opportunity to round up some friends and take on the dinosaurs together.

A Story About My Uncle

Windows | View this game on Steam | Single Player | Steam Achievements | Full Controller Support | Steam Trading Cards | Steam Cloud

We reviewed A Story About My Uncle back when it was first released and awarded it a well-deserved 9/10. It is a unique game which offers plenty of heart stopping moments, despite the fact that there is nothing to kill and no violence. Instead you traverse some beautiful locations using an energy beam style grappling hook. The game is unfortunately a little on the short side, but makes up for it with extras and bonuses that increases the longevity. The game is quite an achievement considering the small team that made it and should definitely be high on your wish list. For the full review click HERE.

Godus

Windows / MAC | View this game on Steam | Single Player | Commentary Available

With the inventor of the god game genre, Peter Molyneux, behind its development expectations were quite high for Godus. It promised the ability to sculpt an entire world, care for devoted followers, create and grow towns, and cast miracles. Unfortunately, the game didn’t quite turn out to be the mixture of Populous and Black & White that it sounded like, which is reflected by its “Mostly Negative” user reviews on Steam. Still, this means that instead of paying the full price of $19.99 to find out for yourself if the game is any good you can simply grab it from this bundle. Godus is still in Early Access, so there is a chance that it might improve and the inclusion of the commentary offers a fascinating glimpse into its development.

Overture

Windows / MAC | View this game on Steam | Single Player | Steam Achievements | Full Controller Support | Steam Trading Cards

We awarded Overture a score of 7.7/10 in our REVIEW and had the following to say about it: “Overture is a game that will challenge your reflexes, and often your patience, to the max. Despite the high difficulty, the game remains thoroughly enjoyable and is only let down by some rather generic visuals. The chiptune soundtrack is great though, and provided you aren’t expecting something with a lot of depth it will keep you busy for quite a while.” It’s not the best looking game in the bundle, but sounds great and it is quite addictive to boot.

Sudeki

Windows | View this game on Steam | Single Player | Steam Trading Cards | Partial Controller Support | Steam Cloud

Sudeki might be one of the oldest titles in this bundle, but has aged quite well. It was released in 2004 as an Xbox exclusive, but made the leap to PC a year later. However, it wasn’t until ten years later that Sudeki finally appeared on Steam. The game itself is an action role-playing title with real-time combat. Players can switch between characters during battle and the combo based attacks make for hectic battles. There are even a couple of ranged characters and using the in battle turns the action into a first person shooter. To break up all the action there are also some puzzles to be solved and varied locations to explore.

Of Guards And Thieves

Windows | View this game on Steam | Multi-Player | Cross Platform Multi-Player

The second Early Access game in this bundle and the only multi-player title out of the lot is Of Guards And Thieves. The game features a variety of modes, but at its core pits two teams against each other. As the title implies, players can either choose to be guards or thieves and must then outwit each other using stealth, tactics and firepower. There are a couple of different classes to choose from and instead of the typical first person viewpoint, the game is viewed from above. The amount of game modes already available in the Early Access version is quite impressive (everything from zombie survival to racing), but the developers are also planning on adding much more. In addition, single player missions, new classes and a map editor are also on the development roadmap.

Lemma

Windows | View this game on Steam | Single Player | Steam Achievements | Full Controller Support | Steam Trading Cards | VR Support | Steam Cloud | Steam Workshop | Steam Leaderboards

Lemma is best enjoyed with an Oculus Rift, but even without it this first-person parkour title is exhilarating. The game is set in a surreal, physics-driven world made up out of voxels and, thanks to the intuitive control system, it is possible to pull off some very impressive moves. The gameplay is similar to Mirror’s Edge, albeit a lot more surreal and can be a bit confusing, at least initially. The parkour moves are also incorporated in the puzzles you’ll face later in the game which is a neat touch. In between all the running and jumping you’ll also uncover notes and messages that reveal more of the intriguing storyline. In addition to all the features, such as achievements and trading cards, Lemma also supports the Steam Workshop and comes with a level editor to create your own challenges.

The Silent Age

Windows / MAC | View this game on Steam | Single Player | Steam Achievements | Full Controller Support | Steam Cloud

After making quite an impression on mobile, with over seven million downloads, The Silent Age made the jump to PC in revamped and updated form. This point & click adventure stars an ordinary worker named Joe working for a sinister company. Through a series of events Joe stumbles upon a portable time travel device which enables you to jump from 1972 to 2012. However, the future is rather bleak for mankind which means the task of saving humanity is entrusted to Joe. Players familiar with the mobile version of the game will find that this Steam version features character voiceovers, high definition minimalistic artwork and achievements as well as Steam Cloud support. Although The Silent Age can be completed rather quickly it offers a compelling story and some nice puzzles.

Hero of the Kingdom II

Windows / MAC / Linux | View this game on Steam | Single Player | Steam Achievements | Steam Trading Cards | Steam Cloud

With its relaxed pace and simple interface Hero of The Kingdom II is a game that will really appeal to casual players. In the game, you and your sister find refuge in a small fishing village after the destruction of your own home, but the peace doesn’t last very long. Pirates show up to wreak havoc and kidnap your sister in the process, which leaves you with no choice but to embark on a rescue mission. The game features vibrant visuals, plenty of quests and, since you can’t do anything wrong, is suitable for players of all skill levels. It offers a mixture of resource management and some hidden object components along with a dose of role playing. As with all of these types of games there is some repetition involved, but overall it is a nice title for rainy days when you don’t feel like loading up something complicated or time consuming.

The Sun and Moon

Windows / MAC | View this game on Steam | Single Player | Steam Achievements | Full Controller Support | Steam Leaderboards

The Sun And Moon is another title that impressed us when it was launched and received a score of 8/10 in our REVIEW. We had the following to say about the game: “Don’t let the simple visuals fool you, The Sun and Moon is a devious platform title with a very interesting ground diving mechanic. Being able to jump into the ground means you’ll have to approach platforming in a whole new manner and makes for a challenging, but addictive experience. In addition to the arresting gameplay the game features a nice soundtrack by Dubmood and very responsive controls that keeps you in control of the action at all times.”

Since none of the games in this selection have been bundled before it offers incredible value for money even for regular bundle buyers. The bundle also features plenty of variety, from strategy and role playing to puzzles and shooting. There is still some time left, so head over to the official Bundle Stars website to purchase a copy of The Killer Bundle 4 and to check out the other bundles on offer.
