Wizard of Legend Joins The Prescription for Sleep Series With Official Jazzy Lullabies Album
It’s been two years since the release of the rogue-like dungeon crawler, Wizard of Legend, so what better way to celebrate than with a mellow jazz album. The Billboard-charting Prescription for Sleep: Game Music Lullabies series already features albums dedicated to Undertale, Celeste, and Shovel Knight amongst others. The tracks on this album are once again performed by GENTLE LOVE, who as fans will know features Metal Gear Solid and Bayonetta series composer Norihiko Hibino on saxophone and Etrian Odyssey performer AYAKI on piano. This duo is remarkably adept at turning fast-paced tunes into jazzy lullabies for sleep, relaxation, and studying that even those who are not necessarily fans of jazz will enjoy.
Prescription for Sleep: Wizard of Legend not only features 11 tracks from the game but also “Reconciliation” which is an original track inspired by the world of the game. Jayson Napolitano has once again stepped up as producer of the album. He stated that he has been working with Dale North, the composer of the original soundtrack and co-creator of the Prescription for Sleep: Game Music Lullabies series for many years, so it made sense to create this tribute. May 2020 not only marks the two-year anniversary of Wizard of Legend’s release, but also the six-year anniversary of the Prescription for Sleep Game Music Lullabies series. This means that fans can commemorate both anniversaries with this special release.

We’ve been listening to the album and it certainly lives up to the high standard set by the other eight albums in the series. GENTLE LOVE has yet to disappoint us when it comes to creating chill music and the songs from Wizard of Legend are a perfect match for their unique talent. With so many great tracks on the album it’s hard to pick favorites, but we can’t get enough of Freiya’s Cage and, of course, Arcane Refuge. The original track, Reconciliation, is also a very nice closer for the album and fits in perfectly with the other songs.
