New Gameplay Teaser Revealed For Goner

New Gameplay Teaser Revealed For Goner

The developers of Goner, the dinosaur survival adventure game currently on Kickstarter, has revealed a brand new gameplay teaser. Goner has already reached its Kickstarter goal, but with three days left it is also within reach of its second stretch goal. If achieved, this stretch goal will see a quetzalcoatlus added to the game. This pterosaur dates back to the Late Cretaceous period and was apparently one of the largest known flying animals of all time, so it is certainly something that we would love to see in the game. If quetzalcoatlus is added it will also come with new game mechanics and interactions

Lust for Darkness

Lust for Darkness

Lust for Darkness attempts something a little different with the horror genre by combining it with erotic and occult themes. Unfortunately, it struggles with pacing and the overall experience is very short. There are still some good elements, such as the great environmental detail and design of the alien dimension you get to visit, but the gameplay is very shallow. Hopefully, all the issues will be addressed in a sequel as there is a lot of potential with the story and setting.

Gameplay: A walking simulator with some mild puzzles and a few enemies to evade.

Graphics: The environments are almost photo-realistic, but character models and animations are very rough around the edges.

Sound: The voice acting is not very good, but the soundtrack is decent

The Last Faith by Kumi Souls

The Last Faith by Kumi Souls

As much as we loved Bloodstained; Ritual of the Night there was still a small part of us that wished the visuals retained the beautiful pixel art style of Symphony of the Night. It looks like we were not the only ones either as The Last Faith – a dark Gothic Metroidvania by Kumi Souls Games was 100% funded in just 2 days. The Last Faith will allow players to discover the secrets of a decadent world where an ancient religion is the law, but they will have to face horrific beasts to subvert a hidden prophecy

SOMA

SOMA

Soma is a sci-fi, horror experience that is set deep below the waves of the Atlantic ocean. At first glance, it might seem like Bioshock without the combat but delve deeper and you will find a deeply engrossing experience that is filled with thought-provoking themes. The game features excellent visuals, great sound design, and a story that will stay with you for days. It might disappoint some players looking for a pure horror or action title, but overall Frictional Games knocked it out of the park with Soma.

Gameplay: The game draws you in right from the start and doesn’t let go.

Graphics: Detailed environments and stunning underwater locations.

Sound: Everything from voice acting to music and sound effects is top-notch

Moons of Madness

Moons of Madness

Moons of Madness is a story-driven horror title where players control an engineer fighting for his life and sanity on Mars. After what was supposed to be a fairly routine mission goes horribly wrong, you are left trying to salvage the situation as the odds continue to mount against you. Although this game focuses very much on the story, it also features some nice puzzles, and the threat of death will keep you on your toes.

Gameplay: Moons of Madness is more than just a walking simulator, thanks to some decent puzzles.

Graphics: The game features plenty of lovely visual details.

Sound: It has a decent soundtrack, but the voice acting stands out

Zombie Army Trilogy

Zombie Army Trilogy

Zombie Army Trilogy takes the original Nazi Zombie Army games, gives them a brand new coat of paint, and dishes them up along with a third chapter. Shooting zombies in the head with sniper rifles is every bit as enjoyable as it sounds, but for the most fun, you ideally want to team up with a few friends for the online co-op. Despite a few rough edges and slightly repetitive gampeplay Zombie Army Trilogy comes highly recommended for fans of co-op games.

Gameplay: Slightly repetitive, but a whole lot of fun.

Graphics: The visuals look decent and are a significant improvement over the original games.

Sound: Straight from a zombie-themed B-movie

The Beast Inside (Illusion Ray Studio)

The Beast Inside (Illusion Ray Studio)

From Resident Evil 2 to Pathologic 2, 2019 has been no stranger to horror games so far. We’ve seen plenty of good ones, a few that haven’t lived up to expectations and even a couple that took us by surprise. Then, PlayWay S.A. contacted us with a short beta version of the upcoming Illusion Ray Studio title, The Beast Inside. It is only one of the thirteen chapters from the full game, but what we experienced was already more than enough to convince us that The Beast Inside is going to be a stellar title
