While Violet: Space Mission features functional visuals and audio, it is the gameplay that impresses the most. The game packs quite a challenge and navigating through the debris strewn areas using only a propulsion pack is no easy feat. The high difficulty might turn off more casual players, but anyone who enjoys a good challenge will appreciate what this game has to offer.
Gameplay: The challenge ramps up very quickly, but the game remains addictive throughout its ten levels.
Graphics: The visuals are good, but nothing spectacular.
Sound: Fitting, but thankfully unobtrusive

It might not score very highly when it comes to originality, but the sheer amount of fun to be had in Dying Light cannot be beaten. Traversing the city using your parkour skills is a lot of fun and the open world setting as well as first person view makes for an immersive experience. This is the type of game where it is easy to spend hours just goofing around and thanks to its day/night cycle there is rarely a dull moment. If you want to dispatch zombies in spectacularly gory fashion using crazy crafted weapons and parkour skills you won’t want to miss out on Dying Light.
Gameplay: Highly entertaining and very addictive.
Graphics: Impressive visuals and draw distance.
Sound: The music, sound effects and voice acting are all very well done

Even after completing all of the modes in the game a few times I’m still not tired of it and will probably end up maxing out the levels of all the characters while waiting for the DLC to (hopefully) arrive. Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds has a beautiful and unique art style, rocking soundtrack and polished gameplay. If you are a fan of the genre and don’t already own this on Xbox or Playstation Vita this is your chance to add another great side scrolling beat ‘em up to your collection.
Gameplay: Polished, entertaining and with a bit more depth than your typical side scrolling beat ‘em up.
Graphics: Beautiful retro style visuals with huge sprites and excellent character designs.
Sound: The game features a rocking chiptune inspired soundtrack

Hats off to Tikipod for creating a game that plays exactly like a ZX Spectrum title and is a very good one at that. If this game were released back in the heyday of the Spectrum, it would have been rightfully regarded as a classic, and even in today’s market, it is still a lot of fun. Rock Boshers DX: Director’s Cut isn’t a game to show off your hardware, but if you want fun and a challenge, you can’t go wrong with this title.
Gameplay: The game is very challenging but also very entertaining.
Graphics: It looks just like a high-resolution and very polished ZX Spectrum title.
Sound: The game features catchy 8-bit tunes and authentic sound effects

With games such as Mechs & Mercs: Black Talons from Camel 101 looming on the horizon it would seem that 2015 is going to be another bumper year for gaming. I certainly can’t think of a much better way to kick things off than a real-time strategy game featuring mercenaries and giant mechs. It’s easy to hate Stalker for all the things that it does wrong but if you take the time and effort to really get into the game instead of judging it by the standards of other First Person Shooters you will find a deeply engrossing and gripping experience that will keep you coming back for more.
Gameplay: Tough as nails and very unforgiving but stick with it and you will be hooked.
Graphics: Might not be cutting edge but still looks very good.
Sound: Barring some weird voice glitches its all very good

You might be playing as a trio of thieves in The Marvellous Miss Take, but don’t expect shadowy corners and stealth kills. Instead, the game challenges you to get the job done as quickly as possible and without being able to resort to any violent means. A nice selection of gadgets offers some help, but the random guard patrols, the abundance of security cameras, and dogs that can track your sent means even the best plans can quickly go awry. It is a challenging title, so expect to spend some time if you want to conquer all its missions fully.
Gameplay: This game features much more action than stealth, and it will appeal to players who don’t have the patience to lurk in the shadows while memorizing guard patterns.
Graphics: The visuals are colorful, well-animated, and very charming.
Sound: There is no voice acting, but the soundtrack fits the action nicely

There’s no denying that Metrocide is a very hard and frequently frustrating game. Spend enough time with it though and you’ll learn to appreciate the punishing difficulty level. Your first few kills might be sloppy and chaotic, but with practice you’ll be able to take down your marks with precision and stealth. It takes a lot of patience and dedication to get anywhere in this game, but it is quite satisfying when you pull off the perfect kill. Just be aware that the game can become repetitive.
Gameplay: If one hit kills and permadeaths are not your thing then neither will Metrocide.
Graphics: The 8-bit aesthetic takes a while to get used to, but the visuals are not without their charm.
Sound: No real soundtrack, but the ambient audio is very atmospheric

Aqua Kitty – Milk Mine Defender might look like a charming, casual game but it has the heart of an old school arcade shooter and will really test your skills. The hand drawn pixel art is beautiful and the whole experience is enhanced by the excellent chiptune soundtrack.
Gameplay: Retro style side scrolling action that packs quite a challenge.
Graphics: Beautiful hand drawn pixel art.
Sound: A rocking chiptune soundtrack that compliments the action nicely
